Secularists need to stop acting as if basic religious literacy isn’t important. Regardless of whether or not you believe in a particular religion, globalisation and religion’s fundamental intersections with society, politics, culture and history makes a basic knowledge of the major faiths essential to any understanding of the world. You don’t have to believe or agree in order to not be ignorant.
