Thin people don't fat shame because they are genuinely concerned with a person’s health. To them, body shaming is a way of asserting dominance over a fat person. It's them saying, "yea, you're smarter and more accomplished than me but it doesn't matter because you're still *fat*." Thin people don't want to lose this power. They want to be able to destroy a person completely by calling them fat. They want to uphold their privilege in society and that's why body positivity bothers them.

You know ur post where ur u say via men be like slipping and entering a girl? Well I actually read a newspaper arrival about a Saudi man who had a young girl staying over (I think) and she was in the living room and he came in there after jacking off (he says) and slipped and entered her cuz his thing was sticking out. She brought him to court and he was excused cuz it was an "accident"

Yea I shared that on my Facebook page...wtf

By continuing to do business in countries with sexist laws violating human rights, and by following the aforementioned laws, corporations such as Starbucks continue to profit from oppression.

No matter how many "ethically sourced" ingredients are in their products, the fact remains that Starbucks financially benefits from having franchises in which women are literally treated like second-class citizens.

Remember this the next time you order that venti caramel frappuccino.

So a vocal and influential trans activist named Adnan, who is an admin of the Trans Action Khyber Pakhtunkhwa page on Facebook, was shot two days ago.

Her treatment was delayed for three hours because patients were “scared” of her and doctors made fun of her.

All the Pakistani news outlets that covered the hate crime also misgendered her.

She is safe now, but has identified her attacker and is trying to get justice.

This is how trans people are treated in our society. It makes me sad.

I love Youtube because it gives marginalized artists and performers a platform to share their talent with the world.

When I was in high school, I auditioned for a major role in a school play. I got the role and even started working on memorizing all my dialogues and everything.

Then one day, out of the blue, the director started having issues with my hijab, saying I wouldn't be able to dress "appropriately" for the role. Mind you, this teacher also criticized me for "violating the school dress code" which explicitly stated students weren't allowed to wear hats or hoodies in class. My role was then given to a white boy.

Youtube gives girls like me a chance to do what we love. I don't care if only five people watch my videos. Just recording them alone makes me so happy. It's a great feeling when your appearance doesn't get in the way of your dreams.

I am grateful for the time I spent here on Tumblr. This website helped me reclaim my identity and mature as an activist. However, I am now taking an indefinite hiatus so I can focus on the other projects I am currently working on. I will no longer be posting any long written work on here. Instead, I am publishing it on my personal blog: www.angry-hijabi.blogspot.com The easiest way to contact me is through my Facebook page: www.facebook.com/angryhijabi I will log on here occasionally to answer any important anon asks. Thanks for your support! ♥ ♥ ♥ -AH

sad that black and brown people are so dehumanized in our society that people have to resort to sharing pictures of our mutilated lifeless bodies to conceptualize our humanity. names and numbers are not enough. ya'll need photographic evidence to acknowledge our suffering.

“I think we are facing the end of the destruction of the Palestinian people by the Israeli forces – we are in a situation today where not only political and economical infrastructure was destroyed – Israel is destroying the neurological system of the society which is culture, identity, communication. We are dealing with a traumatized society, a society which lives under heavy siege ….the whole West Bank is cut into pieces, with gates and fences, it’s like a big prison in its concept, with the Israelis living outside the fence and raiding it whenever they want …

children in middle eastern countries are being killed in front of their parents eyes, black children get shot for no real reason and we still have white people on tumblr talking about how white children are ‘oppressed’ because their school doesnt allow them to wear some specific kind of printed shirt
