Fun fact: if you know your feline body language, you’ll notice that the lynx is deferring to the housecat. As far as these two are concerned, the housecat is the higher-ranking cat.

These are different cats. Notice the different markings. The story about the housecat mom is true but it was at a different zoo. The cat pictured in the original post is a stray that befriended a lynx at the St. Petersburg zoo. So she’s not that lynx’s mom, she is just a very high ranking friend :)
Normally would not correct a feel good post like this but in this case the correction is there are in fact two feel good stories on display here instead of one and more adorable cat friend stories are always better
