The line between sentience and intelligence in AI is difficult to discern, but that means it should be more closely examined–not ignored. Every creature, sentient or not; organic or not, deserves due consideration.

I did say “consideration,” what you choose to do with that is your prerogative, of course. For example: while I might thoroughly consider a Borg ship, or one Admiral Haftel, I might not necessarily grant either party respect.

Mr. Data, you are exactly right. I found little difference in my treatment by the organics on Voyager regardless of species before I asserted myself.
