Often, yes, they do have a ko-fi, but a lot of people link to their fucking CuriousCat, and what's that about if not interaction? Many writers do like getting to know others in the fandom.

Plus, AO3 has no DM function. Writers may be anticipating all the things DMs would be useful for—like dropping them a quick note about embarrassing typos without making it a public AO3 comment.

Why wouldn't you want readers to strike up a conversation, anon?

This has turned out to be a great year over at @fandomtrumpshate for Witcher fans who are interested in f/f fanworks! (what is fandom trumps hate?)

To make it extra super easy and exciting to browse and bid, this post contains a rundown of all of the creators who are offering written fanworks, art, or fan labor specifically for the Witcher who also tagged those Witcher offers f/f. Everyone has a portfolio link (or two) in their offering post, so you can check out their previous work before bidding.

There are also plenty of "fandom: any" offers in the f/f tag, and those are worth checking out too -- especially for podfic, fan labor and art! Written works which depict underage sex are generally protected as free speech in the US. Hence the existence of works like Stephen King's "It" and VC Andrew's "Flowers in the Attic". AO3 wouldn't be able to host thousands of fanworks depicting underage sex if it weren't.

What will get your prosecuted is taking or sending pictures of IRL minors. And btw, just wanted to state that in many cases it doesn't matter how old you are. If you are 15, and you take a nude picture of yourself and send it to your 15 year old partner, you can be prosecuted for distributing CSEM. So don't do that.

Antis are on a mission to try to convince people that written depictions of underage sex are somehow the same as CSEM. But they're not. And you're not a pedophile or twisted or sick or whatever for writing about your own sexual experiences as a teen. Teens experimenting sexually and writing about it is normal healthy activity. Reflecting back on your own underage sexual experiences as an adult is also normal and healthy. The fact that you're 21 now doesn't mean that you can no longer read about 15 year old you sexually experimenting
