These chews are called rawhide chews, and please please PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD NEVER GET YOUR DOGS THESE!! They’re so FUCKING bad and even dangerous for them! Here are reasons why:

1) They use all sorts of chemicals (like formaldehyde, arsenic, and bleach) to preserve them and make them look white and nice for your dog.

2) Not only do they use glue to keep the shape of the bone the way it is, but the thing basically IS glue. It’s so preserved, that when a dog eats it, it keeps it’s goopiness and can harden in the dog’s stomach, causing blockages. I’ve heard dozens of stories of dogs having to go to the ER to get these surgically removed from their intestines.

3) When they’re not chewed properly, the edges can be sharp and cause tearing in your dog’s stomach lining.

4) THESE THINGS HAVE BEEN KNOWN TO KILL DOGS, CAUSE SEIZURES, ALL SORTS OF OTHER HORRIBLE THINGS, AND THAT SHOULD BE ENOUGH.

There are natural alternatives, like tendons, bones, antlers, bully sticks/pizzle sticks, or vege chews. They ARE more expensive, but they are worth the money.

years ago, our puppy (only 6 months) wouldn’t eat one morning. we took him to the vet and they weren’t sure what was wrong with him, until they checked out his tummy. it was blocked up… he went to surgery, but all of his intestines after the blockage were already dead. our puppy died. because no one knew not to buy these horrible things. don’t buy these. buy real bones or other alternatives.

Look, I know we “Eyewitness” fans have probably been annoying the heck out of you for the past few weeks. But please just think if it was YOUR favorite show and YOUR absolute OTP - wouldn’t you fight to save it any which way you can? Well, that’s exactly what the “Eyewitness” fandom is doing right now. And as you can see we are not above begging. A second season for our show is still possible but ratings need to go up again tomorrow (Sunday Dec. 18th)! This is the season finale so it’s super important!!!! PLEASE help us … If you are in the USA then please watch “Eyewitness” live on USA Network tomorrow (Sunday Dec 18th) at 10/9c. Or dvr/TiVo it and watch it the next day. If possible do both as that will count for 2 views according to the show’s producers! If you don’t want to watch it just put it on mute and read a book or do something else. Although the show is really good so I’d totally recommend watching it! Important: If you DVR it you will actually have to turn it on on Monday (recording without watching won’t be counted).   Please DO NOT use illegal streaming or download links. This is what is killing our chances for a second season! So even if you have watched all episodes illegally so far PLEASE watch legally this ONE time.   Don’t have access to a tv? No problem. I don’t know. Maybe they think the show is too gay for them.
