Ai primi sintomi bisogna andarsene, lasciare il campo. Tanto non va meglio, va peggio e peggio. Invece la gente non lo sa. La gente spera e continua a stare male.

Masterpost - Maybe This Time

Maybe This Time deals with the repercussions of Owen and Amelia’s season 14 arc. After their friendly but painful separation, each goes their own way. But just as Amelia is struggling after having lost the contest and therefore the money for her research project, she sees herself with a big problem in her hands. After finding her one day and helping out with a solution, Owen sees the two of them growing closer.

Could it be that together, they will also find solutions for their problems?

Chapters:

One - As Amelia struggles for alternatives to get new funding for her daring project, Owen finds out about her and Tom Koracick

Two - After screwing up badly, Owen redeems himself with an idea that might help Amelia more than he initially thought

Three - Our favorite duo works side by side on the case and slowly realize they are much better together than apart. Could it be in every sense?

Four - After Kimmie’s procedure, Amelia seeks Owen, finally pushing them to have a much needed conversation

Five - Following up with their fallout, Owen and Amelia spend time together and discover more things about each other

Six - Amelia slowly realizes she hasn’t been herself lately and ponders what could be causing that

Fics Masterpost

I’ve seen a couple of people doing these, and I was talking to my twinsie a little while ago and she said it would be awesome, so here’s mine :)

Fics are organized newest to oldest with the newest at the top, oldest at the bottom :D All fics are Omelia, unless stated otherwise in brackets beside the name. Unlinked parts are coming soon and will be linked as soon as possible after they have been posted :D

My Omelia Fanfic Family - Introduction | Father’s Day | Treading Water

All the fics featuring my Omelia fanfic family will be listed here.
Introduction - Not a fic - Introduces you to the characters.
Father’s Day - Amelia brings little Derek to the hospital to see his dad for Father’s Day. They give him a tour around the place.
Treading Water - Owen and Amelia have been doing the long distance thing for almost 2 years now. Owen used to come home every weekend to see his kids, and Skype with them various times in the week. He hasn’t come home in 6 months and it doesn’t seem like he’s going to any time soon, Amelia is done. All he needs to do is sign the papers.
Set after Owen and Amelia went to get Pizza in 12x10. They didn’t actually go and get pizza, pizza wouldn’t have even be involved if Amelia hadn’t emphasised how hungry she was.
Amelia tried to stop Lou from attacking Meredith and subsequently got attacked herself. Owen finds her and worries she’s dead. The two make a verbal contract for their relationship.
Owen takes Amelia fishing, they talk about Derek and his love of fishing, unfortunately they’re not all that good. Fishing is not all that happens that day.
Owen bruises Amelia during a PTSD attack and Amelia tries to brush it off and pretend like it’s nothing. Arizona notices and asks Amelia about where the bruises came from, Amelia finds that maybe she’s not as good at playing the ‘I’m fine’ game as she thought she was.
Set either in 12x01 or before season 12 even started, since that is when I wrote it. Amelia brings up the time Owen said they were a plane crash, and they have a fight because of it. They confess some pretty deep stuff in all the heat and realise they’re actually in love.
Set in 12x09, written before it aired or even before we got a promo or anything. Meredith is in an awful car accident, Maggie calls Amelia and tells her she needs to get to the hospital. Amelia comes straight from the bar to see how Meredith is doing, worried for her sister-in-law despite the fact they’re in a fight. She waits by Meredith’s bedside for her to wake up and they talk about Derek.
Amelia pays a visit to Derek’s grave to tell him some very important news she had always wanted to be able to tell her big brother one day.
Amelia is unwell and wakes up every half an hour during the night because of this. Owen comforts her and lets her know that she’s not alone, he’s not going anywhere.
Christmas Without You - Amelia’s first without Derek. Her family comes to visit but she’d rather do absolutely anything else than have to be around them. She asks Owen if she can stay with him, they spend the night and the following day together.
Ice Skating - Amelia and Owen go ice skating at a local rink. Owen isn’t very good at it and Amelia has to help him.
Snow Storm - Amelia and Owen are heading to a party when they get caught in a snow storm. When it comes to the decision of bracing through the storm and trying to find a hotel or sleeping in the car, they choose to sleep in the car.
Feels Like December - Amelia injures herself trying to decorate the outside of the house. Having a broken arm is frustrating in many ways, especially around the holidays. Amelia Shepherd is not a watcher.
Unplugged - Amelia and Owen lose all kind of power in their home on Christmas Eve, it looks like they may have to spend Christmas unplugged.

Suspicious Man Pt. 1

Author’s Note: Part One out of three fics I wrote along this story line (there were supposed to be 4 but that is still hanging in my drafts.  Maybe I’ll finish it one day!) All three parts will be posted tonight.  Enjoy -G

They had broken up months ago, but he still watched as she exited every room. He still hoped that one night she would show up at his trailer.  He wished she would give him a chance to apologize for giving up on them.  He hated himself every day for doing it.  He had let her slip through his fingers; the single most beautiful woman he ever laid eyes on.  He longed for a second chance but Amelia had moved on.  Actually, she had moved on a while ago.  She was with some guy name Jake.  Jake would take her to the movies and fancy restaurants.  Jake would hold her hand when they walked together.  Jake would snuggle her frail body  when she cried.   Owen didn’t really know him well; he seemed like a nice guy.  He had seen Jake twice; once at Amelia’s apartment when he realized he had left his blue blazer there, and again tonight when she came in for a 911 page, leaving Jake in the waiting room. “Jake, right?” Owen asked, walking over to where the man sat.  He wore a dark brown tee and almost black jeans.  His hair was cut short and the five o’clock shadow on his face made his green eyes almost glow. “Yeah, and you are-“ Jake started, clearly not recognizing Owen. “Owen, Owen Hunt,” Owen held out his hand and Jake shook it.   “Owen! Yeah, Amelia talks about you a lot,” Jake said as Owen took a seat across from him.   “We were close,” He mumbled under his breath and chuckled. “She loved you,” Jake laughed. “We loved each other,” Owen looked up and saw Jake flipping through a magazine.  “How long have you been with her?” “About three weeks,” Another page turned. “Good, you’ll take care of her for me, right?” Owen waited for Jake to look up from the magazine and make eye contact but not such gesture occurred.   “Of course!” Jake chuckled and met Owen’s desperate eyes.   “Ok, thanks,” Owen stood up and turned on his heel to go.  “Also, if you could not mention that we had this conversation to Amelia that would be great.” “No problem,” Jake said and Owen walked back towards the nurses desk.  He picked up a chart and stared overtop of it not really paying attention to the words on the paper.  Instead, his sight was set on Jake.  Something wasn’t right with him and he couldn’t figure out what it was.  Jake just put a bad taste in his mouth that lingered under his tongue.  Owen felt like he needed to brush his teeth. He couldn’t put his finger on it and that bothered him.  Owen prided himself in his ability to read people and decipher what they were thinking.  But when it came to Jake, his powers failed.  It was like a glitch in the system.  It was like looking at a static TV screen.  Nothing.   A few hours later Owen watched as Amelia ran up to Jake and embraced him in a hug.  It was the same way she used to greet Owen after days of not seeing each other.  The smile on her face was bright and genuine; Owen had seen it many times yet it still did not feel like enough.  Jake smiled back at her, his lips tight and pulled back too far as if it was a forced expression. Owen quickly noticed that it was forced just by looking at Jake’s eyes. The look didn’t lie; it was lust.  Jake’s eyes were filled with lust, longing, and overwhelming sexual desire.  Not happiness.   As Amelia exited the hospital with Jake’s arm slung around her waist, Owen noticed as his hand roamed beyond their boundaries.  It lit a fire deep within him that he didn’t even know could be kindled.  Pure rage pumped through his veins.  Amelia was not an object.  She was not a prize to be won.  She was not something to be used and then tossed out with the trash once he was through with her.  It took every once of self control in his body not to run up and sock Jake right in his smug face.  There was one reason and one reason only why Owen didn’t just punch the guy out.  Her name was Amelia Shepherd.   Owen would not put her through that.  He would not let her think he was mentally unstable.  He would not go back to the PTSD episodes he suffered with Cristina.  He would not lose her forever.  He just wanted to protect her and shelter her from every storm. But he could not control her.  Amelia was her own person; even if she was her own worst enemy.  He had to let her go.  He had to let her make her own mistakes.  Amelia had been through hell and back many times.  She even made jokes about it when they were together.  Owen knew she could handle herself, maybe even better than he could.  He would have to fight the overwhelming urge every day not to just run up, pin her against a wall, and passionately kiss her lips.  And if that’s what it took to make her happy, Owen would do it.  He would do it until the day he died.  He loved her and would do anything for her, even if it meant destroying himself in the process.
