I will say it again: the reason why our collective health is failing in our early-mid 20s (chronic pain, joint problems, etc.) is because the majority of us started working in food service and retail as teenagers as per the societal and financial expectation.
Putting this much stress on the bodies of still-developing children sets them up for a lifetime of pain and complications. Of course we are all miserable. Not to mention the fact that your last school break in high school or college is essentially the last break you will ever get for the rest of your life.
