Am I Fitness Yet?

@amifitnessyet

A blog where I try to determine when I will be fitness.
“[Captain Marvel] is not really going to look any different with the fact that I can actually lift 225 pounds. It doesn’t matter to anyone else, but it did to me. Breaking that boundary of what it means for a woman to be muscular and strong and own your body and use it as a tool, that felt meaningful. […] I do believe in my abilities, and I do value myself, and I do know that I’m strong, and I do know that I can do a lot of things that people don’t think I can do.” - Brie Larson

Lmao so I did a p90x class at my gym yesterday like, let me challenge myself ya know? And oh my god I am so sore and how I made it through I’ll never know 😂

Also, I am a tomato face when I work out and so I think people think I’m dying and I’m about to pass out but no, this is just how god made me.

Kodiak power waffles, a banana, cascadan farms syrup, and egg whites 😋

Good Morning ❤️

You know what I don’t understand? How sweet potatoes are supposed to be healthier than regular potatoes. That being said I’ve been eating one a day for the past few weeks and avoiding highly processed carbs and I feel semi decent

I think a lot of people mistakenly put white potatoes into the same “bad carb” group as white bread and processed sugar. But all potatoes are healthy and great to eat, they just have different levels of different vitamins and nutrients.

White potatoes are higher calorie than sweet potatoes and have a higher carb content, but they also have more potassium, magnesium, and iron. Sweet potatoes have a higher sugar content, but they also have fewer calories, more fiber, calcium, and a crapload of vitamin A and C.

I personally prefer sweet potatoes because I think they are very, very delicious. But eat ‘em all!

Noted. Eat all the potatoes.

I definitely ate too much today but it’s valentines and one day of indulgence won’t ruin weeks of progress. Happy Valentine’s Day!

A win

So when I started my fitness journey, I used to run this trail with my dad and would struggle to jog it and could only really do a quarter of it. I would walk the rest.

I can back home recently to visit and needed to work out. So I went ahead and tried to jog this trail. Well it’s been about a year (a little less) later and I jogged it twice. I couldn’t believe how much progress I had made this year and I only want to go forward!

Whatever you’re doing, keep doing it. I promise everyday makes a difference ❤️

If you wanna be healthier, there’s no magical date or day or time. Start now. Start tomorrow. Next week. Whenever. But start when you’re ready. And, if that means starting on a date, day, time that’s significant to you, do that. Start on your own terms.

Big Effing Reminder: If you’re adopting a healthier lifestyle, please don’t get discouraged after a damn week. You need to be patient and remember this is a slow, steady process and your body needs time to adjust. This shit doesn’t happen overnight or in a week. Chill.
