Max may be a man of few words, but he sure is Post-Apocolyptic eloquent.
Our idea was that the War Boys, that was all they knew—their cars and the mechanics of cars. They knew how to make them work but, you know, they didn't know how to make their ailing bodies work. So, they scarred themselves up like car pieces and car parts because they knew how to mend those.
Oh god what if the scarification doesn’t happen as a rite of passage (first kill / first raid) what if they start putting them on once they find their first tumor?
Is that why none of the full-life non-painted Imperators have the scarification?

Just now realizing: look at how Nux responds to Angharad’s death.
Now think about how he responded to the BODIES OF WAR BOYS HITTING HIS CAR as they were blown away in the storm.
I’ve got feelings about this difference but not the time to find the words for it right now. But. Let’s discuss.
