How will making Wanda and Pietro's bio-parents be the Maximoffs and not Magneto lead to better stories? They're dead and there's no more story you can get from them that you couldn't get otherwise.
For one thing, they’re no longer tethered to World War II, which made them intrinsically much older than they should be.
Plus, how often has Magneto been assumed dead? So who says what additional story there might be?
If you’re claiming that Pietro and Wanda are Ana and Mateo then they are still tethered to WW2. We know very little about Ana and Mateo, but we do know they were “lost during the war” and when they were “lost” they were certainly older than newborns. If the High Evolutionary stole them, he would have had to de-age them before returning them back to the Maximoffs. Seems pretty unnecessary.
