just got this strange advice for the school im going to be at, to make as many friends as soon as possible and not to just be passive and let friendships naturally happen. thats so much pressure and requires so much assertiveness im not sure im into that....
and theres just something so inherently sleazy to me about trying to make friends in order to form job connections and 'network,' like thats not what i want friends for or what the goal of making friends should be
