So I just saw a tik tok about this and I agree a 100%. I know we all laugh and joke about the "am I gay?" quiz Nick takes but what stood out for me about that scene was the fact that Nick was crying, not because he might be gay but because of all the articles he saw.

Finding out you're queer and it being immediately followed by articles about conversion therapy, suicide rates amongst queer youth and hate crimes is so overwhelming in so many levels.

He realized what is unfortunately linked to the queer experience and I believe he also got a better understanding of what Charlie had gone through.

This scene was so impactful for me and I was sobbing because of the sad reality of what being queer involves.

STORY TIME KIDS. Lucas Grabeel who played Ryan Evans was 100% for making Ryan canonically gay, and spoke to Kenny Ortega at length to get Ryan to at least hold hands with a male student in the final scene. Grabeel is straight but thought it was so important for Disney viewers to see gay characters on TV, knowing that the HSM3 viewership was age 11+, when kids may start thinking about who they’re attracted to a bit more. basically Disney gave Lucas a flat out no and as a response wrote in Ryan’s relationship with Kelsi last minute (as speculation was already flying around about Kelsi being a lesbian). so even though disney screwed them over ortega told grabeel that he could do whatever he liked in the blooper reel and they’d include it in the DVD. hence above.

I reblog this every time its on my dashboard and I’m not even approaching embarrassed. 

If I’ve gained anything from Tumblr it’s the ability to ship characters from shows I’ve never actually seen before.

Adam knew he was in trouble when he found himself covered in cake, champagne, and shattered glass while clutching onto someone’s sleeve.

Admittedly, the memory of the night as a whole is a bit fuzzy around the edges, softened by jet lag and overwhelming anger and a few flutes of champagne worth more than the house Adam grew up in. But he remembered enough to recall some key details: one, it was no ordinary reception, it was the royal wedding; two, the cake covering him was the 75,000-dollar royal wedding cake; and three, that he clutched onto His Royal Highness, Prince Ronan Lynch-Mountchristen-Windsor, while covered in the remnants of his champagne flute.

It was an international relations nightmare that a rational Adam Parrish, the first son of the United States, would pay to avoid at all costs. Even the slightly-inebriated Adam could feel a distant spark of fear over what Maura and Calla were going to say to him once he was not covered in frosting and brawling with a treasured member of the English monarchy. (Well, “treasured” was a relative term. Prince Ronan was more of a recently-reformed scandal than a treasure.)

But as he caught a glimpse of Blue’s expression, a carefully constructed mask of surprise for the cameras that only those who knew her personally could read the amusement behind, Gansey’s hand wrapped around his wrist and yanked Adam off of the ground.
