Anthony Warlow & Marina Prior Australia’s original Phantom and Christine (1990-1991)
‘... the complexities of [The Phantom] just delights me and I think that I’ve built up certain levels of characterisation with him over the years and still think about him.’

Happy birthday to the ridiculously talented and wonderfully charming Bertie Carvel!
“Dad has always talked about journalism being about truth and integrity and I think, in acting, questing for the truth is important. When something rings true you just know it.”

That time when Anthony Warlow dressed up as a Jack Sparrow-inspired Pirate King and did an epic photoshoot on Palm Beach during Opera Australia’s 2010 run of The Pirates of Penzance
With all the flack the Met are getting over Boris and partygate. I’d give anything for a Babylon special right now. Just cause I’d love to see Finn’s reactions. Heck you could just make it 45 minutes of Bertie Carvel doing reaction shots like this to news headlines and I’d watch it.
Poor guy would probably end up with jaw strain for the next 6 months though. And 90 per cent of it would probably just be profanities. But at least there would be some light relief from the current insanity of this country for at least 45 minutes.
Same, every time a shitshow happens at the real life Met (and frankly everything at Number 10 these past years), I think of Finn and Liz and wonder how they’ll deal with it (probably badly but they can’t be worse than their real life counterparts XD)
This post reminds me that I miss this show very much and that 2013/2014 seem like eons ago 🥲
