Hmmmm...

I bet this person has some truly enlightened political views.

Hey, I think you missed this:

In 2017, hundreds of KKK members, Nazis, and neo-confederates gathered to protest the removal of the statue of (traitor and coward) Robert E. Lee in Charlottesville, Virginia.

I'm pretty sure they weren't voting for Bernie, guy.

the copification of peter parker in recent years is insidious and also gay

disclaimer: i love spider-man ps4 it is an awesome freaking game + has some of the better peter parker characterization we’ve gotten in recent years. BUT. the INSISTENCE that peter WORKS with cops and RESPECTS cops and is simply an AID to the police is so goddamn annoying and blatantly wrong. peter’s relationship with the cops is at BEST tolerant and generally mutually negative. he usually shows up way before they do + does their jobs for them in a way distinctly un-coplike. i can think of 3 incidents off the top of my head where peter actively interferes with arrests because he doesn’t think the cops are being fair. not to mention being a vigilante is a crime in of itself—and that’s not including the trespassing, breaking + entering, assault + battery, etc that he gets up to on a daily basis. sure, he’ll work with cops if it’s the most efficient way to help people in a given scenario, but he’s not their friend. just pisses me off seeing how marvel keeps trying to push some spider-man / cop parallel that doesn’t exist. fuck spider-cop

i’m almost done. it always bothers me in the very beginning—the big fisk takedown—when peter waits until he has PERMISSION from the police captain to go kick ass inside the building. don’t make me laugh. the peter i know would’ve whipped right past all the cop cars going Neener Neener Nyah Nyah and taken care of fisk in 15 minutes while the cops still scratched their heads and stood around cause they couldn’t find a pet dog to shoot

Should go without saying but never date a cop and christ never marry one. Rule of thumb if he's legally untouchable he's ethically unfuckable. You don't like that cop, you like buff men in tight clothing. I can show you more of those, better ones. Take my hand.

I did not know this about firemen

that is very disappointing for firemen

Actually, the scariest part of Alien (1979) is how no one tried to understand the Xenomorph and just branded her a monster from the start. We can't chose the circumstances of our birth and it's the choices we make that define who we are.

She chose to eat people

God forbid women do anything

Not to be a total bitch about it, but just to be clear the Xenomorph from Alien (1979) did not eat people or try to eat people. She just wanted to use em for baby making purposes

the xenomorph wanted to forcibly use members of the working class as breeding stock, with no regard for their lives or wellbeing. she is a conservative

She could use me as breeding stock any time 😳

i'm thinking about how cats hold their babies and how so many mammals also hold their babies and also about how physical touch is a love language

but mostly i'm thinking of this:

in case nobody had guessed, i'm touchstarved.

also this!

i had this image in my head but i found it again <3

a hug is the universal expression of love!!!

mutuals stop putting this on my dash challenge

Every Friday. Every Friday i either see this post or live in fear of seeing it. I can’t wake up and say ‘it’s friday’ anymore without thinking of this post. I am living a nightmare and it’s your fault

it drives me crazy how humans are just meant to hold each other. how come when you hold someone's hand, your fingers just perfectly lock with theirs? how is it that when you hug someone, your face fits just right in the crook of their neck? how can your hands cup someone's face like that's their only primary function? it cannot be coincidence that our bodies are fully capable of holding another... we were designed to love

being in your early 20s is crazy bc there’s people who are literally married and people who’ve never even dated and people who are trapped in their childhood bedrooms waiting to get out and people who are trying to live out romanticized dream lives and people who are completely on their own and people with multi tiered support systems and we’re all supposedly peers and none of us think we’re doing it right at all

game companies should be fucking EMBARRASSED about being inaccessible. it should be mortifying to ship a game with shit captions or no UI scaling options or no option to disable flashing / strobing effects. games lauding their character customization should be laughingstocks for not including hearing aids or congenital disorders or prosthetic limbs. EA should be publicly fucking humiliated for the sims series being 23 goddamn years old and include cats and dogs and horses and werewolves and zombies and mermaids and star wars and not FUCKING WHEELCHAIRS.

Okay, but if you were in a wheelchair, wouldn't you feel better NOT being reminded that you can't walk?

Well I need one and I made the post, so no, I would not feel better knowing that even fictional worlds do not want people like me to exist.

To expand on this, assuming this is a good faith question, disabled people are not inherently living lives where they are constantly mourning not being abled. The common tropes in media for disabled characters being a) killed or b) miserable and wanting a cure are not an accurate universal reflection of real people's experiences with disability. While I won't argue that all disability is created equal - the circumstances for every individual are different, and different things are harder to bear for different people - many (likely most) do live average lives when they have access to the resources and help they need, and this life usually doesn't include 24/7 lamenting about Why Can't I Just Be Normal And Abled :(, because if we defined everyone's experiences by their worst days then everyone would be literal wailing infants, because everything else in life is better than that whole ordeal.

Personally, I'm not bothered by my own loss of mobility when the rest of the world is able to accomodate that; as a simple example, my very limited ability to stand isn't a problem if a chair is available to sit, but if someone else hasn't provided the chair at all, and I'm not able to bring me own, I'm going to be in a lot of pain even before resorting to sitting on the floor. Diversity and accessibility in games is similar - just as there are places I can't go because they are inaccessible with limited mobility, there are games I can't play because they are inaccessible with limited visual adjustment tools. If you aren't seeing disabled people existing normally in day to day life, either in real life or video games, that's a result of someone (or many someones) making the active choice to leave them out - through inaccessible architecture or UI, by limiting access to expensive mobility aids, or by simply not ever modeling them at all.

TLDR, answer to your question is "no", and overall I'd recommend interacting with disabled people beyond clickbait inspiration porn.

Hope this helps! ^w^

Basically you just want more positive representation for disabled people? Eg some characters in a wheelchair who arent objectively evil or just being able to be disabled yourself without it having to be a consequence of being a dick

You're a Warlock. But instead of drawing power from a higher being, people can choose to donate a portion of their magical power to you. In exchange, they can scry on your adventures and can send telepathic messages to you, as well as make requests. It can get annoying, but you make it work.
