I agree with all that has been said, but since I live in Austria, I wanted to provide more information on that man. It’s Martin Sellner, head of the Identitäre Bewegung, which is often described as extremist and neo-fascist. In his youth he was an antisemitic Neo-Nazi, now he concentrates his hatred mostly on Muslims. His group stormed multiply theatre plays in which refugees were participating (and some people in the audience were hurt) among other things. A person like him should never, never, never be normalized or even glamourized like by the CNN. Also, a member of the far-right Freedom party might be elected president today, and he’s been normalised to the point where he got to portray himself as a center-right candidate, which he is obviously not, and a lot people believed him.

The DAPL has been stopped, but miles of pipeline remain intact. Don’t be surprised if this is just to clear out the camp and to steal momentum from the movement, so construction can continue months later without interference.

We have a long history of taking and occupying Native American lands claiming them as our own. They aren’t ours. 

Our government just have to understand it until it’s too late! I guess getting as many eyes as possible is key and using our star power would be an advantage.

To explain for people that don’t get it, this is an example of how black women are often described purely in sexual terms, or like food to be consumed, or in overly rarefied terms that remove humanity (the constant comparisons to goddesses and queens). In contrast to how white women are often described in a way that emphasizes their purity and/or beauty in a non-sexual way and allows them to preserve their humanity in a way that black women in media or fiction aren’t usually afforded.

I get what you are saying, but I also think the porcelain thing can be just as dangerous. It sends the message that the woman is fragile and delicate - meaning she can be broken and shattered. 

Nope. You white women just want to be just as oppressed. You’re not. You’re fragile and delicate, THUS you are mostly immune from danger or being put in harms way as collateral. It is not just as dangerous. Y'all need to put yourselves in our shoes. Complaining about being valued and you wajt my sympathy? Nope.

White women are always complaining about being treated way better than Black women and then get offended when its pointed out to them White women don’t realize that black women don’t get access to being fragile and delicate. We’re hypermasculinized, hypersexualized and demonized. Being able to be broken is a privilege because people will handle you with the care that you deserve. No one would ever treat a white woman the way they treat Black women cuz yall fragile. The reason Black women are seen as strong, resilient, and aggressive is because whites said these things in order to justify having Black women working in the fields. In order to get the maximum labor out of their slaves whites had to believe that Black women weren’t breakable. This notion continues into to day and still has negative consequences for Black women.

And to complain about being viewed as delicate and acting like sheep don’t also have teeth. White women have used the damsel act to their advantage for CENTURIES. The most notorious account of a white woman using this to her advantage was the brutal murder of Emmett Till. And you see the micro counterpart to this mentality every day on social media with stupid little white girls gaslighting and antagonizing Black women and then pulling the victim card when they’re dragged. Y'all really swear you can do no wrong.

Please re-read the breakdown sis. It’s about white women being viewed as delicate and black women broken down into tropes. As a black woman, I’ve been told that my beauty is “wild, animalistic, primal, exotic,” or they use food (caramel or mocha usually) to describe me. You don’t see a problem with this?

Guys I went to Universoul Circus!

It was freaking AMAZING!! I had so much fun the whole time I was either, laughing, dancing or staring in amazement. Do you know what it feels like to see a group of black girl contortionist!? Black Clowns! Black Ringmaster! There are performers from Trinidad, China, Cuba, Columbia, Ethiopia….the whole cast just diverse as hell. I got so much LIFE! 

Black people create spaces for themselves out of necessity and they always dominate!! I will never go to a regular circus again. All I need is for them to take the animals out of their show and it’ll be perfect.
