i recently noticed that @ jetblackcode created a really interesting tool that lets you see your tumblr stats, one of which is a comparison between the number of notes you’ve gotten on all your posts to the entire userbase! so, i figured a fun reblog game would be to put in your blog and tag which color you got:
i’ve colored the buckets on the histogram so that it’s easier to tell where you landed on the graph rather than just using numbers ^_^

OC GLOW UP MOMENT
Dunno about their gender or name yet, but he's kind of undead and kind of alive?? They can detach their limbs, including his head. Basically make themself end up as a pile of body parts. Though they can still be killed if they literally lose their head and it gets hurt, or someone stabs them! They can still bleed, except for when they get cut at their splitting areas. Anywhere else though, it's fair mortal game.

the funniest fucking part about the new HB episode is that Viv went through the historically herculean task of getting Kesha to voice act, and had her character do a musical number, but the song wasn’t sung by Kesha
so she got Kesha JUST to voice act, but not to sing. This is made significantly more confusing when you realize that due to Keshas famously convoluted legal clauses, this character may very well just never show up again, and if she does she likely wont be voiced by Kesha
so like why. the fuck was she even. in the episode?? Viv???? Viv why do you continue to make these characters out to be major in the plot and then set them up to never be used again?????
Because Kesha was an important driving force for Viz. It’s a creator getting to meet another creator that literally inspired them.
And from what I’ve heard, it’s possible the song WAS originally recorded by Kesha and then got delayed or had to be completely redone due to copyright and Kesha’s legal troubles with her record label. If that theory is correct, it would not only explain why Kesha isn’t singing, it would explain why it was still delayed even after they got a new singer because Kesha still wrote the song and her record label couldve claimed royalties from it. Kesha and Dr Luke recently settled out of court, and then the episode suddenly drops.
Queen Bee is also not necessarily important to the overall plot, but she’s important to the world building, and she doesn’t necessarily need to be physically seen or even voiced again to keep contributing to that. She could very easily still be referenced in passing.
Or maybe they’ll decide to just recast her character altogether. I wouldn’t be opposed to that, it happens all the time in regular media. Or maybe Viz and Kesha can work something new out that the legal problems Kesha was facing are now (hopefully) done.
Like, it’ll suck to a degree, whatever happens, sure, but we don’t 100% know what’s happening behind the scenes.

tumblr mobile has steadily become near unusable these past few updates. not just from a user experience perspective (which is important enough in itself) but also from an accessibility perspective.
examples include the new way the image viewer works (if you can call it "working"), the tumblr live button replacing the profile button, and that newly created blogs will be forced to have their main dashboard tab be the 'for you' page.
to protest against these usability issues, and inspired by the recent reddit blackout, i propose a 48 hour blackout (where you don't use tumblr at all). preferably of both mobile and web (since web has problems too) but mobile is the focus here.
[edit: a 'blackout' is when you don't log in, or interact with the site at all, for [x] amount of time.]
this marks the end of pride month (for the "queerest place on the internet") and the start of disability month (since accessibility is a massive issue here).
