What’s so horrifying about this to me is that this is literally Jerry Seinfeld trying to teach John Mulaney how to gaslight his wife.

Look at that dialogue. “She thinks she knows.” He’s trying to get Mulaney to see his wife’s expertise as instead a weird misperception. He’s coaching him to undercut his wife’s confidence in the truth and her own abilities.

And Mulaney replies exactly the right way: “She does know.” He asserts not only that she’s perceiving the world accurately, but that she is an expert at something he’s not good at.

Dudes, don’t take this shit from other dudes. Mulaney isn’t by any means perfect but he aced this. Stand for the truth. Defend women’s objectivity. Promote women’s expertise.

I reblog this every time because I don’t think people understand that Anna is literally an interior designer. She makes absolutely stunning Victorian Lampshades. Which she designs.. for the interior of a home… she’s literally an interior designer. She doesn’t think she’s good at it, she knows she’s good at it because it’s her fucking job

So today I went to the straight pride event in Boston. I spent a lot of my time handing out water and snacks to counter protesters.

During this time counter protesters were arrested, people were pepper sprayed, a friend of mine had a police bike slammed into her throat twice.

A Trump supporter stalked someone through the crowd and grabbed someone and started a physical altercation.

A cop at one point shook his pepper spray in my face. It wasn't until I pulled out my phone that he walked away.

At another instance a cop stood in front of me with his hand on his gun.

When the protest ended the cops pushed us away from the straight pride people using force. They used a barricade of their bikes. I was chatting with my friend collecting water when suddenly I heard screams, people running, and I felt pepper spray sprinkle my face. People were being carried away from the police to have milk poured in their eyes. At least 5 people were sprayed in that instance. Eventually someone was hit by a police motorcycle. At some point a tourist group got hit by pepper spray getting a child. A child was pepper sprayed.

All of this happened across the street from the Holocaust Memorial and along the freedom trail.

I hope that everyone who reads this is horrified. You should be. I went to the actual Pride parade in Boston back in June. There were plenty of anti-LGBT protesters, and they were aggressive. Yet, they did not receive this kind of horrible treatment from the police, that I noticed. So, reading this is scary to me. Really scary. It says a lot, about a lot of things.

I love that when Vex curls inward at each reminder the loss of her twin, she tries to remind Vex of how loved she was by her goddess’ champion, and provides protection and blessing on his behalf.

I love that she sacrificed her life to save a fallen member of Vox Machina, not knowing of their success until after they’ve brought her body back to Vasselheim and revived her.

Do you think she dared to hope that she would be revived? Or did she accept her fate as the will of the Raven Queen?

Do you think Grog carried her body back himself, seeing the price she paid for his foolishness? Or did Bertrand Bell carry her, trying not to think of all the meanings of the word volunteer as he walked?
