From the sketch to the final. Should have had the new armor as the background but realized I wanted to go a bit steampunk and opted for Mack I.
Scarlet by Bendis & Maleev
I SO wanted them to finish this series.
Maleev says he is finishing art on the second arc, now. I’m hoping to see it by spring, or early summer
to prove it. here is a page from issue 10!! not 8, not 9, ten!!
That would be page 8, issue 10!
OHGOD YOU HAVE SUCH WONDERFUL STUFF IN YOUR FUCKIN WALL. I WANNA DRAW LIKE YOU, DUDE!!!!!!!
Please don't. One Maleev is enough. Aim higher!
Any chance to see you doing a variant cover of the new costume of DD?
I told Marvel I am available for one.
Another Vader Down variant #1. Acrylics, gouache, watercolor, pencils on 13x19 board.
Just wanna say... I am so happy you're going to be drawing Tony Stark all the time, I COULD CRY. The cover is amazing. I'm so excited!
I have been crying ever since I heard the news myself.
HUGE HUGE Fan!! The colours you use are so solemn and it works!!
THANK YOU. THANK YOU. Glad you like them.
No question, just needed to say how much I love that International Iron Man cover. I could stare at your artwork all day (though that wouldn't be very productive). Cheers.
Thank you. It is my infinite please!
please? No, pleasure. Stupid autocorrect.

I am a speeling idiot!
Are you going to NYCC this year?
Of course!
what was your favorite comic book of this year ? ( so far )
Winterworld so far. I look at books predominantly for the art.
Hey Alex! Big fan of your work. Just wondering what the status of Scarlet is? It is one of my favorite books. I look forward to the next issue. Thank you!
25 pages of Lando away from her.
Why did you use those awfully colored photos for a lot of outdoor background in Daredevil?
Most of them I shot myself. Before 9/11. I didn’t think they were awfully colored at the time. If I were to criticize the work I did on that run, probably they won’t be the top of my list. In fact, taking them was one of the most rewarding and creative things in these 5 years on the book.
