GX Month 2017 - Day 1: Happy Belated Birthday Judai!
Heeeeey, it’s GX month! AKA: a month of me finding an excuse to draw as much self-indulgent Choiceshipping as I can manage. *brick’d*

Asuka Tenjouin from YGO GX by MegaHouse. The figure will be part of the new LUCREA series of the company and will be in pre-order from 25 October 2019 at the price of 14630 yen limited. The first edition will have a keychain in the shape of his Duel Disk as a bonus. The figure will measure 24 cm and should have the same scale as Judai and Yusei from the Amakuni company (then you will see why different companies are always difficult to match)
Today’s mission : remembering how to do that lineless style and making a personal tutorial to not forget again
The last duel of the GX manga is Jaden just giving up all pretense of playing fair and trolling the main villain with (Winged) Kuriboh. He then proceeds to fuse (Winged) Kuriboh with Chazz’s Light and Darkness Dragon to make them into a literal deity whose special ability is having the power of all of the Millennium Items and increasing its attack by 1000 for each card he correctly predicts when drawing from his deck. Which Jaden then does six times thanks to the Millennium Eye.
Each card he proceeds to draw are the precise cards that he needs to fuse his ace monster, which he also boosts up to 6000 ATK. He then proceeds to destroy the main villain’s ace card and take the rest of his Life Points. And all the while, the main villain just stares in outrage and complains about how unfair this is.
Atem would’ve been proud.

Fun fact! Yu-Gi-Oh GX was one of my favorite shows growing up and it still is to this day!!
I rewatched it with my sister almost a year ago, and I finally got around to post something related to it.
So have these two screenshot redraws! I did a third one but I didn’t really like how it turned out, so I ain’t posting it.

I wanted to draw legacy characters and Yusho was a great bridge between Fusion and XYZ! I had a lot of fun with this!
We never got to see Ryou in Arc V even though there was a mention of him, it would’ve been hella
Speaking of, I would have loved to see Asuka rebel against a Duel Academia where her own older brother Fubuki and his best friend Ryou are its top students (like in the GX manga)
