Idk how people live with other people and don't just turn off their personality to survive jgjgjhjj it's like my stuff MUST be where I set it and if I don't get time alone to make my own facial expressions I will die and if you talk to me before I've fully awakened I will have to apologize later in the day I won't go to the grocery store together because I'll just forget everything I was going to buy. like how are people dating other people and living with them and sleeping in the same bed even

like I'm saying this as someone on good terms with all former roommates but the way I did that was to keep 90% of my stuff in my room and never say anything TOO genuine but thinking about not having your own private space no matter how small sounds like torture

So so so so so real, if I ever get into a situation where I want to live with an SO again I better hope we have the joint income to get at least a 2BR cuz I NEED my own bed and my own room.

Something about Mollymauk and what he as a character represents, how he once felt so Empty and hollow and alone, struggling to find his voice. Gradually learning to express himself and open up, rediscovering his identity. Exploring gender and sexuality. Finding what makes him happy in the moment and just chasing after it with no regrets. The thought that you can always start over, do better--it's never too late to save yourself and save others. Never. You deserve a second chance.

Being so unapologetically himself, his whole personality vibrantly colorful and loud and radiant. Refusing to be defined by his scars and haunting past. Covering himself in his own art, taking back his body and sense of autonomy with every new tattoo. Letting himself be truly free and so full of joy. Being loved so much it made him so compassionate and loving in turn, fiercely loyal and protective. Quietly taking care of others, refusing to leave anyone behind.

Knowing so much heartache and cruelty and loss in this world, and yet--yet. He still walks through life with so much warmth and joy, still holds his hand out to others. Holding onto the ones he loves until he no longer feels the numb ache of Empty--

i am a firm believer in the sicko4sicko relationship. characters who are obsessed with one another not in spite of, but because of, whatever bizzare or offputting or unusual things they've got going on. guys who look at each other and go "you're the only motherfucker in this city that can handle me" and they're probably right too. rivalries romances obsessions built on mutual hate undefined Close Companions. any sort of Thing. sicko4sicko.

Something I love about Tumblr that you don’t really get on Reddit, is the brief flashes of fandoms I’m entirely unfamiliar with, like some large beast in the undergrowth.

Right now, it’s The Locked Tomb. Never even HEARD of it before coming here, but I see impressions of it everywhere. It’s like, teenagers wearing skeletons? Or something?

Do I dare seek it out? Will it wear MY skeleton?

I miss 80s/90s film cinematography and set design so deeply… everything looks so rich and textured and orange and sweaty and cluttered… when I see a modern movie shot on digital where everyone’s clothes look steam pressed off a studio rack and the interiors are harshly lit and bare as a showroom I throw up in my mouth. and a little dribbles out

James Patterson books are an invasive species humans brought into library shelf environments because we wanted fast-reproducing, easily-digestible food. But at the time, we didn't know as much about their natural airport environment, which has very few available nutrients. This environment greatly favours the genericalist species like Patterson, so there's very little bibliodiversity compared to the more specialized library or bookstore environment. This means that each species in an airport has an enormously expanded niche compared to just about anywhere else books can thrive - in their natural habitat, Patterson books may be one of only 3 or 4 species competing for available nutrients. In these low-density, low-nutrient environments, Patterson books occupy vast swathes of territory without bothering other species. This history makes it extremely easy for them to outcompete the more specialized inhabitants of the library shelf, who have often been carefully selected to fill ultraspecific subgenre niches.

Left unweeded, Patterson books will expand their territory over multiple book bays, crowding out or even straight-up eliminating space for competitors and sending contributor-author runners out to other shelves. Contained to a single, planned set of shelves and kept strictly pruned, Patterson books can contribute to a healthy ecosystem. But many curators don't know or don't care to do the planning and maintenance, leading to the nightmare of overcrowding and loss of circulation.

THEY'RE TAKING UP FIVE BOOK BAYS AND THAT'S AFTER WEEDING.

THE PATTERSON SITUATION IS SEVERE
