Yet another queer nerd blog

I never like it when strangers act like they're my editor, but one of the most annoying "corrections" I've ever received was when I was talking about cis people being uncomfortable around trans people and someone said "op you mean transphobes. don't slander all cis people like that". When the thing is I did mean cis people. Because cis people are often uncomfortable around trans people. AND ALSO discomfort is not a flavor of moral transgression. That way lies thought policing.

Like it feels kind of hypocritical to demand that all cis people be comfortable with my transness when I myself am frequently uncomfortable with my own transness (see: Gender Dysphoria). It's not the discomfort that matters, it's what you do with that discomfort. And often what distinguishes a safe cis person from an unsafe one is whether or not they see their own feelings of comfort as an absolute moral compass. The safe cis person observes their own discomfort and recognizes it as a conditioned response in a society that wants you to hate trans people. The unsafe cis person cannot square their feelings of discomfort with their self-image as a "trans ally" so they take the feelings as vibes-based evidence that this particular trans person they're talking to must be secretly evil.

I can’t stop thinking about the fact that mads mikkelsen invited hugh dancy to the premier of men & chicken to watch him furiously jack off in it then took this picture and you’re telling me you couldn’t let their whore lips connect in nbc hannibal just a little bit

hey netizens! i'm not sure how many people are aware, but youtube's been slowly rolling out a new anti-adblock policy that can't be bypassed with the usual software like uBlock Origin and Pi-Hole out of the gate

BUT, if you're a uBlock Origin user (or use an adblocker with a similar cosmetics modifier), you can add these commands in the uBlock dashboard to get rid of it!

youtube.com##+js(set, yt.config_.openPopupConfig.supportedPopups.adBlockMessageViewModel, false) youtube.com##+js(set, Object.prototype.adBlocksFound, 0) youtube.com##+js(set, ytplayer.config.args.raw_player_response.adPlacements, []) youtube.com##+js(set, Object.prototype.hasAllowedInstreamAd, true)

reblog to help keep the internet less annoying and to tell corporations that try shit like this to go fuck themselves <3

Where do I copy-paste these to? "My filters"? "My Rules"?

'my filters'! if you look closely you'll notice the format is different between the two pages. the (website)(##)(additional text) format goes in filters

I haven’t had any problems using adblock on YouTube with Firefox, so that’s also an option

im glad other people are submitting susie deltarune because i submitted 2 characters, and the contrast between 'corrupt politician who shoots at the protag' and 'high school bully' is. staggering

this reminds me of how the first person to submit a character was my friend and i had to reassure her that yes, you can submit a character that has blown up an entire city despite the fact that calling him "mean" is such an understatement. the true beauty of this poll is the fact that the contestants range from "stole candy from a baby once" to "tortures victims and then kills them by using his voice to slowly coerce their heartbeat into stopping in a painful and excruciating experience" and "literally a terrorist"

I was upset that I didn't have any birthday presents, but today I bought one and I'm very happy🎉

There are more editions of Good Omens in the world than I can keep track of. Love this cover.
