here's a random word generator--whatever word it gives you is now the thing you are the deity of
“Have some empathy—” oh I have empathy. i have plenty of empathy for the hundreds of adults and children who drowned off the coast of Greece in an entirely preventable situation, as do i have empathy for the thousands of migrant boats which capsize every year due to neglect from the countries who won’t fork out shit to save them. i don’t, however, have empathy for the millions of dollars worth of resources being spent on five billionaires who paid more than the average family will ever see in their lifetime just to willingly cram themselves inside a remote-controlled tin can and disturb the graveyard of mostly working class people.
OP made it un-rebloggable but also it's damn good catharsis
reblog if you:
- are aromantic and want to kill
- think aromantic people should be allowed to kill
- think fish are pretty cool
any, either, all?
queers ! I was looking at the tags on the original post of this and it got me curious to see actual numbers
idgaf if y'all "reblog for a bigger sample size" but if you're curious like me, it'd definitely help lol
Kind of hard to believe there was once a time where a legitimate genre of post was "my mom says if this gets 2k notes she'll buy me a doughnut" and everyone would just. go ham
I vote we revive this shit.
Y’all, if this post gets 2k notes I’ll buy my own damned self a doughnut.
Y’know what? Yes. If this hits 24k by the time I wake up on 21 June 2023, I’ll get myself a dozen. And a big ol’ coffee to go with them.
everyone's talking about how "prev tags" is an integral part of how people use the site and now the update's ruined it and blah blah blah, but you can't fool me! I remember back when everyone was griping about how it's a degenerate innovation from twitter migrants and that real tumblr users write out the tags themselves
let it be known that i still hate it
Would you like to find out what you would be the god of? Take my new uqiz to find out
Hey OP this immediately made me have a crisis
reblog the money pigeon for a financially stable future
I reblog the money pigeon because I love him.
I love the money pigeon and will reblog him because he brings a financially stable future
Below the poll is a series of animal images labeled A through J. A is the least close to the birds we have today; J is the closest. If you encountered these animals in the wild, which would you call birds? If you pick a higher up option, then that means you consider all the below ones birds as well - so if you pick A, then BCDEFGHIJ are all birds. If you pick J, only J is a bird.

PLEASE REBLOG THIS SO IT CAN LEAVE PALAEOBLR. I NEED PEOPLE WHO DON'T RECOGNIZE THESE ANIMALS ON SIGHT TO VOTE.
I apologize to all of y'all with vision impairments for whom this poll is inaccessible. Alas, this is an experiment, and I cannot name the taxa. Thank you.

If you see this you’re legally obligated to reblog and tag with the book you’re currently reading
finished worm. i am desolate at the recognition of having the book end. i always feel sad when stuff like this ends, but it's worse when it goes on to get bad.
scared to read ward, as lots of people say it's bad? how bad are we talking?
i may be extremely stupid, cuz lots of stuff the book leaves unsaid and are apparently explained enough that the characters figure out but never actually explain i just didn't get lol. but that's how i usually read books, i just go with what i get.
like, maybe reading some parts while running on a treadmill was a bad idea, but not reading felt worse lol
i'm just gonna point you at these three posts by tumblr user txttletale because they about sum it up. i have not actually read ward but from what i understand the crux of the matter is that worm is a really good book with some bad parts, and ward is a bad book with some really good parts that will make you desperately wish it was good overall. i'd normally say "give it a shot if you want and if the psychic damage it does to you isn't worth it then just drop it," but if you already know you'd be upset by it not being anywhere near worm quality, then i just wouldn't bother reading it tbh. ward is non-canon, To Me ♥
I think ward started out pretty strong and kind of petered out/ derailed a bit. It had a few very strong arcs and some very good character moments.
fwiw I really liked Ward and I think the negative reaction on tumblr is more meming than anything, there's a lot of talk about a few out of context bits and nothing about massive arcs, so i'm not convinced most people have actually read it
I'd recommend not jumping into Ward immediately because it is a very different story from Worm, and not taking a break with something else will have you going in with expectations Ward won't fulfill.
I don't think Ward is as good as Worm is, but Ward isn't nearly as bad as tumblr would have you believe, and I think you will get a lot out of it, when you do get into it.
Ward is solid until the Titans show up, at which point it becomes a long, tedious slog. But, also, the Titans show up VERY late in the game, so there’s still a lot to like.
rb to give the previous person a fucking break because life aint life-ing the way its supposed to life and it fucking sucks.
I’m in the first one-hundred pages of Cast in Peril and I think I’ve finally put my finger on something that’s been bothering me about the series lately; it seems like Severn is the only person that Kaylin regularly sees that doesn’t treat her like crap. Sure, she has people like Tara and Y’beline around occasionally, but she doesn’t really see them casually all that often and it seems like everybody else she interacts with can’t go five minutes without insulting her, including people that she has personally saved the lives of on multiple occasions.
I felt downright uncomfortable reading the scene immediately after the bombing where it feels like she’s too afraid to say anything because of how mad everyone in the office is. Honestly, the Arkon stands out as a positive influence, since it seems like he only really acts like an ass to her when he’s under an understandable amount of stress, whereas Diarmat sucks in general and I get the impression that Sanabilis just enjoys toying with her sometimes.
thinking about how peoples blorbos tend to be men on here (makes sense with the trends in fandom of men being prioritised etc etc) SO please reblog and tag your female blorbo(s). this is NOT the post to be like “[male character] becuz he’s a woman to me” i Will come to your house and bite you. anyway i’ll go first mine are susie and julie from dbd and carly jones from house of wax 🖤
reblog to diminish the horrors from the person you reblogged from
YAY! YAY! YAY! YAY! YAY! YAY! YAY! YAY! YAY! YAY!
reblog to make it die faster
We need to go back a few years to whatever era of depressing off-the-shits indie horror this was and I am not even remotely joking
HOW COULD I FORGET ABOUT “DISCOVER MY BODY”
Tbf it’s relatively more recent than the other 3 games so hopefully there will be more games like this soon
I’m sorry that I turned this post into a thread of weird horror that I actually like but if you’re a fan of sci-fi short stories please I beg of you read Computer Friendly by Eileen Gunn (there’s a link to the story somewhere on this page) and Patient Zero by Tananarive Due they both live in my head rent free
my favs have to be Rediger, a sound novel (similar to a visual novel without the visuals) which is about a 10 minute play
And of course, obligatory Kitty Horrorshow!! Overall interesting experiences with good good writing
I’m gonna take this as an opportunity to just. link some indie games i enjoy.
Pretty much anything from Yames (growing my grandpa steam link)
Also if you want Playstation styled bloody horror check out @puppetcombo and the work they create/produce. :3
If I could swoop in with some visual novels? Scarlet Hollow (steam link) is amazing. Rich, layered characters, creepy Appalachian folklore, some very dark themes and stunning art.
There’s an upcoming game by the same artist called Slay the Princess that looks great too. I also really enjoyed Grotesque Beauty (steam link) and Cooking Companions (steam link).
And I also recommend Meeting In The Flesh and Parasite In Love for some really unique horror takes on a dating sim. (I mean REALLY, genuinely unique, I promise they aren’t a couple of Doki Doki Literature Club knockoffs.)
Edelgard's legacy part 2
Well there is more evidence of Edelgard's negative legacy and that is the amount of artwork of Edelgard as of late which is to say is declining in number and quality whilst the number and quality for Dimitri is increasing as well Dimileth fanart and fanfic (which just shows it is the most popular). We can also look at the YouTube videos Edelgard is almost entirely negative and heavily memed and Dimitri is heavily positive I mean just compare the views of Ghasts documentary on Dimitri and Edelgard Dimitri is way ahead of Edelgard.
Ya boy’s having a melty after their Tumblr poll backfired:
Since making polls on Reddit kept not working they moved to a much more supporting environment... and still Edelgard walked away with more positive than negative.
Huh, I find it kind of interesting that it got those numbers even with that small sample size. I’ve found that usual trajectory of Three Houses polls is that they tend to start against her, then swing rapidly in her favor once they leave the narrow size of the original poster’s pool of followers. Amusing to see that even without that phenomenon, she still walks away on top.
