Okay, so tumblr terminated my account and then gave it back to me. I changed my pw & email, deleted all porn posts in the queue, and tumblr reset my theme because of suspicious code. From what I could tell my account never showed activity coming from another location or app. Fingers crossed that’s that.

Life update: tomorrow I close on a house i just bought!!! Which means i'll finally get to move out of my dads house after living there my whole life!!

In this moment, I realize I can’t change anything that happened prior to this exact second and that I cannot be in control of every force in my orbit. Life is happening lol im just gonna enjoy this granola bar, fresh morning air and my music!

You wrote to me once, listing the four chief virtues: wisdom, justice, fortitude and temperance. As I read the list, I knew I had none of them. But I have other virtues, father. Ambition. That can be a virtue when it drives us to excel. Resourcefulness. Courage. Perhaps not on the battlefield, but … there are many forms of courage. Devotion, to my family and to you. But none of my virtues were on your list. Even then it was as if you didn’t want me for your son.

hello, i love your blog! i just want to ask from which video did you get this? alanprickman(.)tumblr(.)com(/)post(/)52081244689

That’s from the movie Bottle Shock, it’s the very last scene.

Hi. I just wanted to let you know that I've reblogged a bunch of your edits and unfortunately, Tumblr's crappy system incorrectly flagged a lot of them. You might want to take a look and have those appealed. Regards, J.D.

Hey, thanks for letting me know! I’ll look into it and see if I can’t get those unflagged.

VARIETY’S TOP 10 SHOTS OF 2018 - #1: “Hereditary” dir. Ari Aster “Many of the conversations I had with Ari were about this moment. I went to Camerimage and we showed the film, and a lot of people were talking to me about how scary it is to find it on your own as your eyes are wandering through the frame. In horror movies, the tension loses itself when you see the monster. It becomes reality and the mind is not creating it anymore. We wanted to keep it quite dark.” — director of photography, Pawel Pogorzelskian

You do not owe it to ANYONE, even yourself, to reach your absolute maximum “potential”

I think you should try to lead a good life. To lead a happy life. To do good deeds, and to find a life you can be proud of. But you don’t need to force the absolute highest possible achievement out of yourself. You don’t need to live your entire life without making any mistakes, or missing any opportunities. You are allowed to take it easy sometimes. You are allowed to be human.

Maybe you have made some big mistakes that got you “off track” in a major way. That’s ok! It doesn’t mean you wasted your life. Maybe you aren’t doing as much as you possibly could each day. That’s ok too! There is no score in life. There is no one best path. You are enough, I promise <3

the main piece of advice i have for students is this: learn how to fail and persevere. it is a skill that will help you in life far more than perfect grades. think of failure impersonally. when you fail, you have just eliminated one method that doesn’t work for you, so you need to try a different method in the future. figure out which factors contributed to the undesirable result, and change them. (teachers, advisors, and academic counselors can help you with this if you aren’t sure where to start). i know from personal experience that fear of failure is often a self-fulfilling prophecy, because it leads to self-sabotage. if you can learn not to think of it as an inherent personal flaw, but rather as a strategy that didn’t work for you and can be changed, you will be well-equipped to face the inevitable failures and rejections that are part of life.
