It's a unique type of frustration when you agree that a character is deeply flawed but other people keep missing what's actually wrong with them and assigning them new flaws that they don't even have it's like free my man he did none of that. He did a bunch of other shit tho.

Social media really has given people a sense of entitlement. It’s given some people the impression that they have the right to know everything about everyone. It’s also given them the impression that they can go into someone’s inbox and rudely demand an answer or rudely demand information about someone.
Folks, you are not entitled to know everything. If someone shares information, it’s because they are comfortable sharing it. If you make the choice to be rude and demanding in someone’s inbox, don’t be surprised if you get an answer you don’t like.

You know what? My disability does hold me back! I'm sick of pretending it doesn't because society only thinks we're worthy if we're actively trying to "overcome" our disabilities or that we "defy the odds". I'm sick of hearing "you can do anything you put your mind to" because that's just not true and is often invalidating of the struggles disabled people face.
I am worthy either way, regardless of whether I can contribute in a way that society deems acceptable or not.
The same applies to you! You are worthy if you can't drive, can't finish school, can't work a conventional job. You are worthy if you can't live on your own without help. You are worthy if you'll need assistance for the rest of your life. You are worthy, always.

assorted works in progress. its mercurial and fleeting due to disability, and i like to jump around a lot between ideas. some things take weeks or months or a year or two but i usually forget to record when i actually started a file so i can only ever tell you when i finish it

narrow human-sized streets in dense cities would reduce pedestrian fatalities by a lot especially for disabled people who can’t drive
like I get that you love your cars and you love how much freedom it gives you or whatever but I’ve also almost been run over more times than I can count for the crime of just . going to the store or the pharmacy. I’m sick of fearing for my life every time I step outside because the world was built for car owners and nobody else. it fucking sucks
