i miss the dsmp so badly always
man I love it so much despite all the absolute shit drama around it and despite how shit the lore became or was sometimes. it was so silly and fun and uuggh nothing will ever match to it, nothing will ever match the feeling of watching a stream and liveblogging it with everyone and freaking out when something crazy happened. the bits, the lore breaks, the lore itself, ohh it was so special and stupid. I miss it
there will always be bad history with the dsmp and the fandom itself but by gods I would be lying if I said I would go through all the stupid ass twitter arguments again simply to relive dsmp and the streams surrounding it. You can't replicate the feeling of watching a lore stream for the first time with everyone else, watching as it ends and immediately click away to see people making theories or fanart or arguing about characters - even if said arguments were terrible. I miss seeing theories around the future of the exile arc or what the prison is for really. theories on november 16th and ghostbur. theories on doomsday, on ctechno and ctommys relationship. It sucks that dsmp has been summed up to being another cringey or mass problematic fandom because of certain ccs names being attached to it, because by gods there was so much love in dsmp and the fandom

AU Idea: Everything is the same except the Mo Family runs an opera troupe and Mo Xuanyu is one of the dan performers. He is a lousy actor with a decent singing voice. He forgets lines and has breakdowns a few minutes before the show starts. The troupe only allowed him to perform because they lack members and are desperate to climb the social ladder.
When people ask why the infamous ex-performer is hanging out with Hanguang-jun, Wei Wuxian gives an excuse that he's trying to learn music cultivation because his "family" was terrible and he wants to learn from a real musician

Just had a dream that a novel exists which is written from the POV of an old man dying in the 1920s in the form of diary entries and bit by bit it's revealed it's actually a closeted trans woman who was out during her youth and forced to recloset and now I desperately want to read it
The narrator was like, referring to a girl called Sarah in all the writings, and at the start it's super unclear who Sarah actually is and it's speculated by the people around that she may be a lover from the narrator's youth, until it's noted that Sarah had heterochromia and that's the defining trait of the narrator
Oh also Sarah did actually have a lover. They were T4T and lived in a little cottage by a lake until he was drowned in it and Sarah couldn't make ends meet anymore and had to recloset
Okay a bunch of people have told me to write the thing now so I've decided if this post gets 30K I'm turning the thing into an epistolary novel.

makes me so mad when i see akeshu characterization in jokes where they’re So So Close to an accurate interaction but they have oversimplified their characters and made akechi The Weird Crazy One and akira The Normal One and completely overlooked that akira would be the one being comically insane in the situation
Akira makes lock picks and smoke bombs at his school desk. He’s good with knives. His Tokyo connections include a politician, an ex Yakuza member, teen celebrity Goro Akechi, a PubSec officer, a (teenaged) international hacker, an AI technician and said AI of that technician. He’s thin as a stick but can eat anything. His pockets are endless. He lives in an attic. He talks to his cat. He can’t mind his own business and gets involved in anything he comes across. He spends time and money on gachapon machines. He’s canonically on a government watchlist. He’s literally god’s Special Little Boy. He shot god in the face twice.
You know the joke where it’s like “I know a guy”? Akira’s The Guy. He’s so fucking weird.
Is Akechi batshit insane? Yes (affectionate). There’s the obvious shit going on with him but I think we all kinda forgot that he taught himself to tamper down all that rage and hide it so well and while I don’t want to call that weird considering it’s just masking, it’s not normal in the (neuro)typical sense either.
But Akira is weird. So weird. And to put this into context is that it’s implied he was normal until he was arrested. He just discovered a fuck ton of stuff to do in conjunction with being a phantom thief and went off the fucking rails.
So yeah. They’re both weird. Very weird. We just think Akira’s normal because we, the player, get adjusted to his bullshit with 100+ hours of gameplay.
Yeah you're right. It WOULD be pretty fucked up if you were a swan but you were raised by ducks and you grew up never seeing another swan or even knowing that such a thing as a swan even existed so you just thought you were a duck with something super wrong with it.
