Perhaps what you meant was that addicts or users should not be able to be punished, only with recovery. And the prositute thing, do you think that the act should not be criminalized, only buyers or do you want both of them to be legal? the problem i have with all these laws governing nonviolent private/personal/”moral” behavior (suicide, prostitution, drug use, sodomy laws, etc ) is that they’re all based on antiquated, puritanical and supposedly “universal” ideas about morality/sin/the body/etc and only serve to articulate and propagate narrow and imbecilic, bronze-age, body-loathing, western/christian ideals that i don’t buy into. i really don’t need a group of nasty, wealthy, elite, conservative, corrupt white males dictating what substances (naturally occurring or synthesized) i can put into my body or whether i can personally decide to stop living or what holes i can use for sexual pleasure… it’s fucking ridiculous, think about it. who decided all these things for us? and on what basis? the bible?? fuck that. that’s for me to decide not a bunch of stunted, neurotic religious morons. government has no right interfering in these kinds of private matters and is only able to still do so because of outdated lingering traditional biases that they are too afraid to challenge because they don’t want to lose their cush jobs… and it has nothing to do with whether or not i personally want to engage in any of these things - it has to do with who gets to decide what i do with my body and my life… ps, it’s none of your (or anyone’s) fucking business what my mother wants to do with HER body…
