i really love when a character, calmly and completely earnestly, is like i’m not important, i’m no one really, just a blade that people use and throw away. no one remembers me for long after i leave their life. and then you look at the evidence and it turns out that every person who meets them becomes permanently obsessed with them, for better and for worse, and the character has somehow completely missed this fact
Genuinely and unironically my philosophy abt music has expanded to “stop writing off music because it’s from a specific genre” and I think that could be applied to most mediums actually
Is country music really all bad or are you only catching snippets of christonationalist propaganda on the radio? Are horror movies always shallow torture porn or are you just thinking of trailers you saw for slasher movies? Are fantasy novels only for kids or was the last one you picked up Harry Potter? Is anime always fan service or are you just running into ecchi clips online over and over and over? Are you looking for good media or are you finding bad media and considering it representative?
just a little thick boy

Robert Walton was so real when he said, “I desire the company of a man who could sympathise with me, whose eyes would reply to mine.” Me too, bro. Me too.

I know I’ve posted it a couple days ago, but I think this is my favorite picture from my copy of Frankenstein:
There are definitely much more spectacular pictures, but this one is really emotional. He just looks so done here. Like he’s got the weight of the world pressing down on him. The weight of his grief. I can feel the stretch in his arm and the texture of the rope in his hand as he clings to it. And internally … just how much more can he take? The pain in his chest as it cramps from tears…
This is one of the more empathetic pictures to me.
Transgender but in a Frankenstein way.
I hate the amount of effort I put into this
I wish adaptations kept Victor Frankenstein's actual age. I want the modern audience to see this goth kid who looks like he has to ask older people to buy him Monster, and realize, oh, oh, THAT'S why he's not the best father figure. Like Victor Frankenstein is a mad science version of "16 and pregnant" and I want more stuff on that.
victor: my childhood was sunshine and roses 😁
victor’s childhood: neglect, parentification, arranged marriage as a child to his sister/cousin, has to raise his younger sibling(s) from the age of 6, heavy favoritism among siblings, father is dismissive of his interests, sick brother, sick sister, dead mother
Art trade with a good friend of Frankenstein’s creation
here's my frankenstein confession of the day i hate the wider perception of Henry Clerval as a do no wrong epitome of sunshine. This is the guy who walked into victor's mad scientist creature building lab, probably saw god fucking knows how many human body parts and various other horrors, and just decided to clean it up, tell no one about it, cover it all up, and not even confront victor about it. My guy could've EASILY had the thought his best homie was a serial killer chopping people up for crazy experiments cross his mind and he was STILL ride or die for that pathetic little freak. it is 2023 it is time we accept he might just be a little fucked up in the head
Anyways so like this is the entirety of Frankenstein
Late night Frankenpractice
