L’opéra Garnier in Paris.
The Opera Garnier in Paris.
The Garnier Opera House is a 1,979-seat opera house at the Place de l'Opéra in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, France. It was built for the Paris Opera from 1861 to 1875 at the behest of Emperor Napoleon III. This was the place to see and be seen.
It is one of the few if not the only building in Paris that still has the original horse carriage ramp in front of it.
The Major complaint about this building when it was done that it was just to Gold, the theater is opulent from head to toe, but the part that is just over the top is the “Men’s only area” Le Grand Foyer. (Women had to wait outside in the hallways).
