K so not to be dramatic or anything, but there's a free vintage French pattern book available on antiquepatternlibrary so if you like to crochet/weave/make pixel art/tie epic friendship bracelets don't walk- RUN.

It has scenes from aesop's fables! Cherubs doing things! Beheadings! Greek muses! Little farm people! Intricate floral pattern! Goth stained-glass window like patterns! Fun little corner pieces! Eeeeeeeeeeeeee

that guy who went to space and said something along the lines of how it shattered his illusions about the wonders of the universe entirely because it was just cold and empty and dead and vast and everything worth marvelling at was back down on earth. yeah

characters who refuse to heal. characters who change but only for the worse. characters who are trapped by their grief and rage. characters who unravel throughout the narrative. i am putting them in my pocket for later

I know you’re big into collecting occult books so I’m wondering if you have a list of your favorites you could share with us? I’m really interested in old books/texts and thought your advice might be nice, since you are more experienced than me. Thanks!

My research library is pretty big, but here are some of my favorites!

Dwellings of the Philosophers - Fulcanelli - Early 20th century alchemical text by an experienced alchemist. One of the first occult texts I ever owned!

Gods Plan of the Age - Unknown - Cult paraphernalia I found in a thrift store. The inside has some fascinating diagrams and illustrations. I have been unable to research it on account of my inability to speak chinese.

Pillars Perichoresis - Anathema Publishing - An anthology of writings from the Pillars occult periodical. One of only 393 copies in existence. Given to me as a gift.

Occult Science or Hidden Forces - Dr. R. Swinburne Clymer - A text attempting to combine traditional esoterica with emerging early 20th century theories of the mind. Purchased in a used bookstore for 5$. Exceedingly rare.

OASPHE, A New Bible - 1882 spiritualist text written entirely by automatic writing. Claims to be the result of communication with a host of angels. My issue is from 1950.

Catalogue of Archaeological Anomalies - William R. Corliss - One of my favorite works from Corliss. The text is a detailed catalogue of archaeological discoveries deemed false or anomalous. Corliss develops a system for rating them based on their likely factuality, and how significant their truth would be to the field.
