So basically, Sherlock got that phone call from Mycroft on the plane, while already hiiigh as a kite, learnt or deduced about Moriarty’s supposed return, lapsed into a cocaine-induced mind palace session that went way too deep, which means, into his subconsciousness, where he immediately made the connection between Moriarty and a killing bride -and which bride did Sherlock recently have contact with, hmmm?? My, who could it be… ah yes, MARY - also made the connection between Mary and Mycroft (hello M-theory) working together, and also admitted to himself that he loves John and that this unfeeling, uncaring, rational, sociopathic individual is entirely made up (and how very much he dreads John ever confronting him about it) and that he just avoids it because if he dared to go there, he would not be able to fight the impulse to jump John. Okay. Also, the bride corpse literally attacks Sherlock while he is digging a (his own?) grave, and Mycroft’s life is in danger, and Mary in her red coat and her unhappy marriage, serving as John’s alibi-wife maybe, literally is a red beard, and also might decide she’d rather be a widow if John doesn’t pay enough attention to her. And the reason Mind Palace-Victorian-Hooper is so bloody hostile towards Sherlock the entire time, is because even in his drugged state Sherlock knows that Molly Hooper would be fucking mad at him for taking drugs. Slap, slap. Then just as Moriarty wants to kill Sherlock for not finding death sexy enough, to let him blow… Sherlock’s gun… or joining him in his comfortable bed for some skin tasting… errh, Doctor John fucking Watson saves the day once again, because he is so beautifully BAMF that it gets Sherlock out of his deadly mind palace trip, which is so obvious that even Mycroft knows John is the only one who really can protect Sherlock from himself. And Moriarty is dead (and maybe had a twin or not, who knows, John said it often enough it could be some foreshadowing shit again) and Sherlock knows what to do next, which is to…. be found out in season 4. Man, what a ride!!! PHEW!
