Rant about Naruto Inauguration

So I just finished reading a valid post about Naruto’s Inauguration, and it got me thinking. Naruto dreamt about being Hokage his entire life. I’m not talking about him just walking around town, saying he’ll be Hokage, and being a little brat - no, Naruto worked his ass off for that dream. He wasn’t all talk.

When I was younger, I dreamt of being a ballerina Hannah Montana. It was obviously a silly child’s dream - and obviously I didn’t become a twirling Hannah Montana. Maybe I could’ve? But nah - I grew up and decided that was a silly fantasy. But Naruto boy? Hell no. Despite being constantly brought down by everyone around him, and I mean EVERYONE, he still worked his little butt off becoming the Hokage. Even his teammates - Sakura, Sasuke, and Kakashi called him crazy. He was seen as some funny hyperactive kid who dreamt way too big. They said he was a fool, a loser that could never accomplish anything! My boy Naruto lived through some REAL bullying - bullying that involved violence and isolation from his entire village. Even the ADULTS - THAT SHOULD’VE KNOWN BETTER - were acting a damn fool, pushing him around and calling him a monster. Just thinking about it leaves me speechless. Because guess what??? I’m talking about a CHILD. Some poor kid, who isn’t older than 8, who doesn’t even understand where all this hate is coming from. No parents, no friends, and even back then Iruka disliked him. This kid was ALONE.

But guess what? He picked himself up. And I mean it when I say, “himself”, because that was all him. His strength. His own two hands. Yeah, maybe team 7 played a part in it, but this kid did it all himself. This poor kid that had a demon sealed inside him, and had his parents taken away from him at birth, he made it. He didn’t give in to all of the darkness that DESPERATELY tried eating him alive. He brought back his stubborn and broken best friend, and told him exactly what he needed to hear. He saved the world, and studied to become the HOKAGE. Yeah - that’s right - even after saving his village MULTIPLE times, he still had to study his ass off for years until becoming the Hokage.

And what does Kishimoto do? What does Naruto get in return for his hardworking and perseverance? A fucking joke. A punch line. In the end, guess what??? Naruto’s just a joke. Yeah, he made it all that way, but guess what guysss???? He’s still good old Naruto. He gets gentle fisted in the gut by his own daughter, and passes out. Then - fucking Konohamaru, of all people - transforms into him, and becomes Hokage instead. Yay!!! HahahahaHa! That was so funny. It was definitely worth throwing away a perfectly emotional and beautiful moment in the TRASH. What was I expecting? Oh idk. Maybe some tears. Probably a couple of chuckles because Naruto is a goofball. A speech, where he thanks everyone in the village, because he believes they made him who he is, when in reality he did that all himself. He was the strong soul that chose not to fall into darkness. Maybe I even expected to see Sasuke smiling peacefully because that loser actually proved everyone - including him - wrong. Sakura would end up punching him for saying something embarrassing, just like old times, and then smile lovingly at the man that kept his promise to her all those years ago. Because he did BRING SASUKE HOME.

Oh idk…maybe that. I wasn’t expecting the entire fandom to get pranked.

I didn’t like the ending to Naruto, but I accepted it, because in the end I love this fandom too much to swear to never watch it again. I thought Sakura should’ve moved on and found someone that truly loved her, but I accepted her forced relationship with Sasuke, because what else could I do? I believed Hinata should’ve grown strong for herself, not for the man she desperately wanted to be with, but I accepted her awkward love for Naruto and their clearly awkward relationship. I had so many disappointments in the end. Neji was killed off for nothing. Sasuke left the village again. Time and time again Kishimoto showed me that he gave up on a proper ending. However, the Inauguration was the most disappointing of them all. Naruto deserved better. The fandom deserved better.

I don’t care who you ship, or what ship you hate, we’re all in a family together. If you’re in the Naruto fandom - I accept you. We were all let down by the Inauguration short clip, but I guess I shouldn’t have expected much more. It was just a short clip after all, right?

Shit, I might’ve over spoken. Or…over ranted? Idk. Please add your opinions because I wanna hear them. #Justice4Naruto
