Harry knows his duties.
When canon shippers in a fandom feel the need to write essays on why their favourite canon pairing works, it’s a sign that the canon pairing from the original source material was weakly written. And as a result, we have people reacting for straws when they are explaining symbolisms not really related to the content or the “subtle hints” of having feelings for the other, which aren’t really subtle, but actually something people do on a daily basis (for example, describing a scene a single glance mentioned in the book or in a panel and coming up with a +300 words on how it’s a sign of “true love” or “feelings”.
I don’t know if it’s just me, but when I support canon ships, I don’t have this need or feeling to write an essay on why they work. “They are good in my head, let’s move on.” I get a lot more excited than that, but that’s my general thought pattern when liking a canon ship.
“La partida del maestro de la Muerte” Ilustración para el fanfic del mismo nombre escrito por Lessa a.k.a. Dragonlady, les dejó el link en mis historias 👉🏽🎨+📖👈🏽 Hice este trabajo como un Art trade con una amiga Harmony ❤️ Con todo el cariño para todas las Harmonys y multishippers ahí afuera 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 . #harmony #harrypotter #hermionegranger #harmonyship #aurorpotter https://www.instagram.com/p/Cez1CY3rsFY/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
Good lord. This is quite honestly the most pathetic thing I’ve ever read. The amount of desperation these antis-no, Romione shippers- have for wanting to invalidate the Harmony ship because they want to believe that it’s a male-coded ship and they use 0 evidence/proof to support their unfounded claims. I feel so embarrassed for this person. They cannot fathom the fact that Harmony is equally male and female coded.
“Dreamless”? I dare you to go on Portkey and read the Dirty Dancing series that’s twice as long as the HP book series. That’ll put you into a drama-induced coma.
And I do see the unwarranted Hinny slander (and no, Hinny and Harmony aren’t similar)
And I’m pretty most would like Ginny more if she was written better in the series, but nah, instead she’s made into “the perfect girl” for Harry with barely any character development for her. I’m firmly believe Ginny can be a great character and a good asset, but that’s not very apparent in canon.
Oh yeah, and it’s funny how they mention people call Ginny a slut. You know the person that was the closest to calling her that in canon. Ron. So does that mean Harmony shippers are synonymous to Ron?
So, to summarize this pic, Harmony shippers are Rons who fantasize about being with Hermione.
🤣🤣🤣
Haha
Canon shippers tryna come up with theories why JKR would say this:
No Ron hate, but this is made for the people who believe in the misconception that dislike for Ron as a character largely came from the movies:
There’s more reasons people don’t like Ron but these are the ones that stand out to me the most from the part of the fandom that doesn’t like Ron.
“I’m not counting Harry’s behavior in OOTP cuz of PTSD”
*Says Harry’s refusal to help Hermione knit in OOTP is important*
*Says Harry’s behavior towards Hermione in OOTP already left a bitter taste in their mouth*
Then what’s the point of bringing up what’s in those parentheses?
I didn’t even include the 3rd paragraph where they basically said that Hermione is only friends with Harry cuz she pities him as an abused orphan. I’m sorry dude, but Hermione doesn’t know that Harry was abused.
They do like being slaves tho. He also never threw rocks at Crookshanks (and Harry himself wanted to kill the cat in the same book <3)
If you don’t find how problematic that first sentence is, then I don’t know what to tell ya.
True, he never threw rocks at Crookshanks. However, at the sight of seeing Crookshanks at one point, he “seized a stone lying on the grass, but before he could do anything else, Crookshanks had vanished with one swish of his long ginger tail.” (PoA) That can have plenty of implications of what Ron wanted to do. He has also attempted to “kick” Crookshanks earlier in the book.
Yet, you provide no proof of that happening (the part in the parentheses)
What? You giving me a pizza emoticon. Thanks : )
Crookshanks was on Sirius' lap when Harry wanted to kill him, and Harry had no qualms about the cat dying too, even when Hermione sobs. Chap 17, bestie :)
🤣🤣🤣
First of all, “wants”? I still need a citation for that. As I’m reading chapter 17, all I see is Harry playing what-if scenarios in his head at how he was going to kill Sirius, and Crookshanks could be in his way for that. But even so, in the next paragraph, where Harry wants to kill Sirius to avenge his parents’ deaths, there’s no mention of also killing Crrokshanks.
Secondly, in the end, Harry doesn’t kill Sirius (or Crookshanks for that matter). So I don’t understand how this has any significant effect on how some people don’t like the things book!Ron did. I listed actions Ron did; you gave me a thought Harry had that just ended up being a half-truth coming from you.
Nice try, tho, lil bro.
When a fandom cannot decide on when the 2 components of the canon ship fell in love with one another, it’s a clear sign of how poor the relationship/writing actually is. I get it that it’s fun to theorize things, but looking at it from an outsider’s perspective, it creates a hole in the writing of the relationship. The relationship doesn’t feel complete.
