thinking abt how zayn had the least writing credits in 1d out of all the members but then he went n wrote mom + if……. thinking abt how zayn’s tour band he made in 2016 was almost entirely woc n how 1d’s tour band was all white guys……… thinking abt how almost their entire tour crew was white……….. thinking abt how caroline was one of the only poc on the road w 1d and zayn was the godfather of her child n when he left she left the tour to go be w him……. thinking abt how there are more poc in the befour + pillowtalk mvs then there ever where in a single 1d video (excluding the teenage kicks one)……. thinking abt how zayn’s only collab on his debut album was w kehlani, a wlwoc………  thinking…………..

I keep looking at the tributes and something feels off. It feels wrong. And the only way I can describe it sounds silly but like… something’s missing.

Someone’s missing. It’s an incomplete set. And of course Liam isn’t writing his own tribute but it just keeps hitting me over and over that like. This is it. This is our new normal. An incomplete set. I hope that doesn’t sound insensitive I just. I don’t know how else to say it. It’s… incomplete.

WE ARE BACK FOR PRIDE MONTH!

We are back to promote OTB, celebrate pride month, and especially celebrate the community that has been a safe space for queer fans! This is not just limited to those who identify as members of the LGBTQ+ community, and is a way for members and allies to come together and celebrate!

We have 5 themes this year, that will span one week each. You can also choose to use the week’s colour as a theme!

How you can participate as a content creator:

  • You can post gifs, photo edits, physical/digital drawings, other forms of fanart, moodboards, fan-made music videos, drabbles, etc.
  • Include stream link for OTB and mention @projectotb​ in the caption

please pray for indian muslims. to both muslim and non-muslims; muslims especially considering laylat al-qadr is coming up. you don’t even have to be religious, please just be aware of what’s happening because there is scant news coverage at best on modi & the increasingly violent hindu nationalism in india. the west doesn’t care and the BJP is only fuelling the anti-muslim rhetoric and has been ever since their first election in 2014, something which it’s seriously amped up following the disaster that was their covid response, or lack thereof, and their recent re-election. india’s a long way from being the secular democracy it was once seen as — it’s a fascist state. and, as always, the situation is getting worse during ramadan with even more muslims being attacked daily — beating muslim men, threatening to rape muslim women, burning and bulldozing their homes, vandalising and destroying mosques. at the rate which things are deteriorating, indian muslims may be facing the same level of violence as those in palestine, afghanistan, china in coming months. please don’t forget them.
