Looking Forwards, Not Backwards

I matter. You cannot tell me that I will not be missed: I have not done anything revolutionary But I will, soon enough. I haven’t yet lost complete hope I’m trying everyday I intend to dissolve Into light and bring brightness It has always been someone else to burst Not me, never me People around me are cheered for, you see Cheers ring in my ears everyday And I will be one of them one day Though some people are invisible Most people are essential to the Universe But they forget those lurking in the shadows And yet, every drop in the ocean counts
