Queen playing Live Aid at Wembley Stadium in London – July 13, 1985 🌍 Photos by Duncan Raban Live Aid was charity event that took place simultaneously in the UK and the USA. Organised by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure to raise funds for the ongoing Ethiopian famine, the concerts were billed as the global jukebox and they were attended by over 170,000 people in London and Philadelphia, as well as inspiring similar concerts around the world. Live Aid had an estimated television audience of 1.9 billion across 150 nations, nearly 40% of the worlds population at the time.

In 1968 Etta James traveled down to FAME studios in Muscle Shoals to try to revive her career. She recorded the Tell Mama LP, which included the fantastic title song as well as I’d Rather Go Blind. Several great tracks were left off, including this incredible tune - deep southern soul.
