Homophobic people say “why do gays get an entire month and our military veterans only get one day” even though there are several holidays and two entire months dedicated to current and former military personnel. The difference is that the armed forces are so shitty at party/parade planning that you don’t remember it’s their month. It’s not our fault that we know how to party and they do not. Maybe you can plan the parade for them.

It’s also worth noting there are so many LGBT veterans and service members. They’ve fought in every war only to be treated like shit by the military, fellow veterans and society at large.
