As much as I adore Scrivener, it's Google Docs that has saved my writing life. 95% of my writing gets done on my phone these days because it's great for writing on the go (e.g. commuting) and also my ADHD (i.e. I get an idea and I can immediately write it down). And then AND THEN it's synced to my desktop so I can easily switch without missing a beat

feeling greatly outnumbered in my principled (read: spiteful) stand against paid subscriptions
