With light to recent protest to police brutality and treatment of black/African Americans I want to share black lgbtq+ people of the present:

5. Tessa Thompson- bisexual

6. Janelle Monae- pansexual

7. Lil Nas X- gay

And of our past:

1. Gladys Bentley- lesbian musician

2. Bayard Rustin- Gay civil rights activist

3. Storme DeLarverie - Butch lesbian, said to have been instrumental in riot at stonewall

4. James Baldwin- Gay writer and Poet

5. Marsha P. Johnson - transwoman and activist, said to have also be instrumental to the Stonewall riots

As the protest continues remember all black lives matter and the black lgbtq+ community is still fighting for equality and they stand in solidarity with their heterosexual and cisgendered brothers and sisters.
