The facts of an ace told by an ace

Bambi lesbians

In the 80’s there was a term called bambi lesbians who wanted cuddles and kisses more than sex. Today I think a lot of these lesbians would be aspec lesbians. I’m a bambi lesbian

be gay! be ace! live out your dreams!

i love you aspec lesbians i love you aromantic lesbians i love you asexual lesbians i love you aroace lesbians i love you arospec lesbians i love you acespec lesbians i love you demiromantic lesbians i love you demisexual lesbians i love you greyromantic lesbians i love you greysexual lesbians i love you aroflux lesbians i love you aceflux lesbians i love you a spectrum lesbians 🧡

So within two days of each other, Fox News writes an article comparing aromanticism and asexuality to pedophilia, and then Matt Walsh releases a video saying asexuality is a mental illness and asexuals are tricking teenagers into having depression.

Not sure what’s going on right now over in Conservative World, but it’s a hell of wild U-turn for them to suddenly switch from “Oh no! The left is sexualizing our children!” to “Oh no! The left is asexualizing our children!”

Honestly as much as I love Tumblr now, I’ll never forgive this site for the “ace discourse” era that nobody has ever fucking apologized for. Irreparable damage was done to aro/ace people and our communities and now that shit is being recycled on TikTok. And then aphobes have the gall to say “well it’s not like you guys have ever faced any hardship in your lives” as if they still don’t bully and discriminate against aro/ace people to this day.

Go rot.

something about the asexual community that has helped me a lot has been having friends who also identify as asexual.

i think i have about four or so friends that identify somewhere on the asexual spectrum. it’s really reassuring and comforting to know that there are people who relate to me.

It’s also really nice that they are some of my closest friends. they’ve helped me through a lot and i’d like to think i’ve helped them too.

finding asexual people was actually easier than i expected. i know the statistic is something like 1% of the population or whatever, but i think i’m collecting them.

Master's thesis survey: The role of gender in the asexual identity.

Hello everyone!

I'm a psychology student currently writing my Master's thesis on the role of gender in the asexual identity. This is a survey meant for participants who identify on the asexual spectrum and who are at least 18 years old. It would help me a lot if you would fill it out and consider sharing it. Other information about the survey as well as a way to contact me in case of questions are provided at the beginning of the survey.

Thank you for your help!
