First one was done sometime in 2018.

After Tennocon 2019 I had outlined a story for these comics and even have one or two pages that never made it out of the rough sketch stage. But as with all things related to untreated ADHD I didn't do further progress on those, and stopped playing altogether in 2021.

Also these became very popular to the point I was feeling a lot of anxiety before posting them. And of course, brought all the annoying things that are brought with virality within a (relatively) small niche community.

Yet during Tennocon 2019 a few devs recognised me just by name which was VERY surreal and I'm still wondering if that actually happened haha. And it was all because of these little comics :>

DO NOT feed your gamer generic “flavor blasted tortilla chips” or “mountain fizz” it WILL make them sick or possibly worse! If you cant afford the real thing then you shouldnt have gotten a gamer in the first place!

lol @ op acting like it’s ethical for ANYONE to own a gamer no matter how “”real”” the food they can afford for it is. gamers are wild animals. imprinting on human beings can be seriously psychologically damaging to them. just don’t keep them.

This is a dangerous myth. Gamers are actually a lot like pugs or persian cats in that they’re an unethical modern breed of clown that can barely care for themselves in captivity let alone the wild.

Don’t even get me started on people who let their gamers roam outdoors.

Let alone owners who declaw their gamers. Gamers need their claws in order to handle controllers properly. Because of this, gamers tend to behave more stressful without the help of their claws. 👏DONT 👏DECLAW 👏YOUR 👏GAMERS 👏PERIOD

“if fear of failure is keeping you from drawing, deliberately draw the stupidest, shittiest ideas you can think of so you’ll get practice in without disappointing yourself” is like, unbelievably helpful advice.

Absolutely - and true for writers, as well. Write something fun and silly if that pleases you! Write about your most emo moments in lurid detail if that floats your boat. Go directly to the parts you most want to write, and do them first.

What you’ll discover is that you’re actually starting to do the work you need to make this project really sing. Great bits of dialogue, action scenes, even full phrases and whole paragraphs.

Nothing is wasted - writers just sometimes (or often) have to work our way into projects in different ways.

Treat everything as rough drafts as you work on them. Because they are. So why not have the most fun you can while you’re doing it, right? Isn’t that why you got so passionate about writing in the first place? So do it!

Embrace the joy of creation.

Keep the good parts.

Then revise after.

Everyone wins.
