Giacomo couldn’t bear Clive’s hairstyle for a minute more.

AU StagwayMasters by @chipper-smol
Just a small contribution because I love the concept!
Part1 || Part2 || Part3 || Part4
*gently slides AU based on Emmet messing with the various funky glitchmons and unusual happenings in the OG Gen 1 games*
------
Summary: Emmet angy bc Ingo got isekaied to middle of nowhere Nevada. Emmet seek out MissingNo, the ever mysterious reality distortionist responsible for multiple cases of psychosis in trainers and the reason as to why Kanto's champion abandoned his region for years on end. Emmet find the MissingNo and catch it. Turns out it's just a regular pokemon thats a little fucked up but really likes Sitrus berries. Somehow that leads into him becoming some sort of babysitter for the funky fellas in "Glitch city".
Aka, the AU where Emmet becomes a crazy cat lady but with world-ending Glitchmons instead of sneasels. Help him.
Obviously a very brief and missing the point-ish explanation but if I go any further this is gonna turn into a 6000+ word analysis

Poorly drawn bonus comic as to why he wears gloves when handling them. (Specifically .4 bc its starting moveset includes Super Glitch)
(Btw, the names for the glitch pokemon are
•Pink evil beetle guy: .4
•The three legged spider that sucker punched (kicked?) Emmet in the balls: Japanese Symbol
•The Yellow off brand MissingNo: 94h
•The eldtrich being that Emmet somehow made friends with: the actual MissingNo
•Magnemite: O. Yes, that's an actual glitch pokemon. It has 7 different evolutions and none of them are of the magnemite evo line.
(I'm a little nervous to post this pls be gentle when letting me know how dumb this idea is)
did that note pay for first-class seating

Tiny submas, Ingo y Emmet chiquitos! It is always fun to think how the childhood of certain characters may have been, and for these two who complete each other? Well I have a few headcannons, which are also design notes fo these:
-Emmet got into trains first, we all had a train phase, or so I think, in this scenario, Ingo got slowly pulled into the train hype train (haha), as the older, he indulged and admired his little bro´s fascination with trains
-Ingo wears a hoodie, because he is still not totally in the same channel as Emmet, who dresses like a conductor also I wanted their outfits to contrast
-Same hat, only with inverted colors and also the “up and down” theme, plenty of triangles in both of them, pointing up for ingo, down for emmet, they have to somehow match, and is the start of them wearing matching outfits
-Emmet tries to imitate what he sees subway employes do, the pose is not quite there yet, Ingo doesnt pose, but his march still complements Emmet´s pose, also they are in inverted sides
-Their first passangers, their pokemon! maybe I should have included joltiks
-I gave them some Toad looking hats…its cute
-ah yes! Also I made their colors red for Ingo and blue for Emmet instead of the usual black and white
To summarize, my idea is that they choose to complement each other, they are individuals, they werent just born soulmates (not in a romantic way, get out), thats not how sibling relationships work, and is more fun that way, they grew to love similar things and have such good of a brotherhood that they can live and work together, but at some point they weren´t in complete sync
Is, is the reason why one smiles and one frowns all the time also because of their names? Like that's why I thought one arrow pointed up and the other down. (Regarding submas)
Hi, anon!
I think it's less of that and more of the fact that everything in BW was designed to be opposites and mirror each other, especially with the concepts of truth and ideals. Unova loves to play with the idea of duality and how there's actually a big grey area instead of things just being "black and white" all the time.
You have two rivals for the first time. Cheren is in pursuit of pure strength, whilst Bianca is searching for her place in the world independent of her overbearing father. Here, Cheren actually represents ideals (wanting to be the strongest and become Champion), and Bianca is forced to face the truth that she'll never be a strong trainer like you and Cheren. By the time of the sequel games, they've both figured things out, with Cheren becoming a teacher and Gym Leader and Bianca working as an assistant to Professor Juniper.
The dragon you end up with and what N is pursuing is dependent on the game you play - if you've got Black, you end up with Reshiram (Truth), and N is pursuing ideals with Zekrom. If you've got White, you end up with Zekrom (ideals), and N is pursuing the truth with Reshiram. Either way, he realizes at the end of the game that he has a lot more to learn, and he sets off on a journey with his dragon. (The player is implied to, as well, actually - they're off looking for him.)
Now, let's look at how that factors into the character designs for these two.
The most obvious thing here is that they're in opposite colors - black and white, as per the games' theme (and names). In general, they're designed to mirror each other, right down to posing and dominant hands (Emmet is one of the few confirmed left-handed Pokemon characters in the franchise, along with Allister, Ilima, and possibly Shauntal, who at least writes left-handed). Likewise, their facial expressions reflect this mirroring, as well. But they're also deceptive - most people would expect Ingo to be dour and serious, but he's actually a very loud, supportive person. Likewise, Emmet might seem happy-go-lucky, but he's actually very intense (in a good way).
I think it's worth noting that the twin brothers who founded Unova are actually opposites with these two. In their case, the older one was for truth and the younger was for ideals. But with these two, you could actually make the argument that based on his lofty speech, Ingo is the one more representative of ideals, whereas Emmet's blunt honesty is more representative of truth. (We've seen the heroes in at least one film, but unfortunately neither of them bears any resemblance to the boys, so there's likely no intended ancestry there. Of course, the films aren't canon to the games, so that could always change...)
So my guess is it has less to do with their names, which are train puns in the original Japanese, and more to do with the fact that they were designed to mirror each other.
Stagway Masters Ingo and Emmet challenge you to a battle!
took my current blorbos and my previous hyperfixation and MASHED EM TOGETHER.
(Yeah the tramways exist, but stags are way cooler.)
【REUNION】
Sort of a messily drawn part 2 to this comic. People kept asking for the hug and i.....,,, I have a lot of feelings about reunion hugs ok. those hugs that are so emotional you dont even know how to hang onto the other person, or what to say. also i know realistically there'd be a fucking crater where Ingo stood after Emmet came in flying in like that, but we're here to have fun and cope.
Emmet using a laser pointer to command an alarmingly large quantity of joltiks to swarm someone littering in the subway
There is nowhere to run
Unrelated nimbasa trio musings ( ̄▽ ̄) interviews, tv and hair playing. Idk what they’re watching in the last one. Championship league? Fashion show? Thomas the tank engine?
