my computer is deceased, like, she's gone, she's moved onto the afterlife and taken. everything. so. i'm dealing with that. mourning the loss and starting from scratch is now on the agenda

like i see these tweets on twitter like “hey im 14 and i just got kicked out pls rt so i can find somewhere to stay im in x state/city” and like HOLY SHIT i cannot emphasize enough how incredibly dangerous this is. you’re broadcasting to EVERYONE that you are young, vulnerable, and desperate AND information on how to find you!!!! like i know you meant for that to be just for your friends on twitter but that’s a public tweet!!! ANYONE could see it!!! like I saw it and i have no idea who you are you are not in my circle and yet!!! so like WHO ELSE has seen it!!!
This girl on among us have me her number and turns out she’s 13. It was like 3am and she proceeded to tell me the name of her town, what school she went to, both of her parents jobs, how she did in class, what her home life is like, the first names of all of her friends, ect. All of this mostly unprompted. The smartest thing she did was ask to FaceTime me to make sure I ‘wasn’t a 40yo catfish’ and she talked about the other kids that she had met on among us this way.
To any kids out there: I know that quarantine is stressful and we’re all depressed and lonely bu please please please don’t give out your information to strangers on the internet, and if you do there are dozens of safer options than just giving everything to everyone and just hoping for the best
My little sister is 14 and she gave out her information to the wrong person who shared it somewhere and she can now count on two hands the number of teens and young adults who have asked for nudes and favors and personal information. It’s really worsening her anxiety and anorexia so please I’m begging you don’t give out any of your information unless you explicitly trust the person you’re giving it to.
Stranger danger yall. And if you’re ever wondering what you could do to keep yourself safe, here’s a list.
1. Use an alias (don’t have to but doesn’t hurt, especially when you have a unique name)
2. NEVER give your last name! (E.g. if you’re Jessica, aint no way they gonna be able to find you without your last name. Don’t risk it)
3. NEVER give your address (things like country is still vague enough. But if you tell anyone your street or something super identifiable)
4. You don’t have to post photos of yourself! (You can if you want to but remember to be careful! Street names and addresses should not be visible in these photos!)
5. Block creeps. Anyone that ya getting bad vibes from, just block em. Don’t be scared about being “mean”. Protect yourself.
This is all from the top of my head so if anyone wants to add go ahead. Let’s help protect the younglings.
please be careful kiddos!! the internet is so much more nefarious than you’d think, and it’s easier than ever to identify someone from it. if you’re a minor, never give out information that could be identifying in any way unless you personally know the person you’re giving it to. as in, you have met them and you KNOW them. please please please be careful.

I think part of the reason The Queen’s Gambit is so good is because it’s genuinely fun to watch. I think a lot of tv shows nowadays rely on ‘gritty’ torture and heavily sexualised and violent content to be considered edgy and ‘good’. But Queens Gambit wasn’t like that- it didn’t have a female character who just had terrible things DONE to her; her obstacles came from her OWN behaviour and it was so refreshing to see a female character have agency and basically I’m going to rewatch this until I die

My sister is the same as you, she always like to find a celebrity she thinks looks like a character and picture it
For me when I write, I don’t necessarily see faces, I just kind of see (and this is going to sound really lame) but like an aura of their personality. So rather than writing about what she looks like, I right about what she ‘feels’ like to me
That being said the few descriptors I have given Mila are red hair (on the darker side), and she is around 5”9
Other than that you can picture her however you like! And thank you! That last chapter with lily is one of my favourites

Also year 6 is going to be multiple chapters, I’m going into a lot of detail about Milas part so it’s sort of like a story within a story

I think the only description I have given Mila in the story is that she had red hair. I would say it is a few shades darker than Lily’s.
I also envision her to be on the taller side; maybe 5″9.
We are not going back to the present just yet, the story will continue into sixth year in the Marauder’s era, except it won’t be a one-shot chapter anymore, it will multiple chapters.

In Hungary, there is a party called the Hungarian Two-tailed Dog Party. No joke, they are officially registered as a party. I’m currently writing the Marauder’s Era chapters and Years 1-5 all have a chapter dedicated to each year, before the story continues in sixth year
Here’s a hint about what’s been happening
Year One: the year James cockblocked Sirius
Year Two: the year everyone found out about Remus
Year Three: the year Mila was sad
Year Four: the year Siruis became a flirt
Year Five: the year Lily and Mila became friends
Commenting fanfiction is the easiest thing in the world once you start doing it.
I leave a comment on every single fic I read. Sometimes when I read published books I go and leave a comment somewhere the author can find it. Granted, I literally majored in ‘leaving comments on fics’ (English Education), but once you start doing it it just becomes second nature. Now you’re gonna go to the Ozymandias school of leaving comments:
Problem: I can’t leave kudos again.
Beginner: This is a second/third/fourth Kudos
Advanced: This is my second/third/fortieth time reading this, I still love it so much. Here are a few new things I noticed. I like the way you personally do x, y, z compared to other authors I’ve read (in this ship/genre/fandom).
Problem: I don’t know what to say :(
Beginner: Just list what you did to read this fic. “I stayed up late reading this”, “I read this on a crowded train”, “this kept me company while sick”.
Advanced: X,Y,Z parts made me get butterflies, and I had a physical reaction to this part of the story, I squealed outloud when characters did x,y,z. I blushed at this part. I laughed out loud here. Whatever.
Problem: I’m embarrassed to leave a comment (what if I annoy the author?)
Beginner: Short answer: you won’t EVER annoy the author (unless you’re needlessly mean) But to start, be generic, you don’t have to spill your soul in the comments section. “I liked this” “I enjoyed reading this” “nice fic”.
Advanced: This really meant a lot to me that you wrote this. This is something I feel like I’ve always wanted to read. This fic hit me in all the right places. Etc.
Problem: I don’t know how to express myself/my experience
Beginner: My beginners go to is to highlight a line, put that in your comment and say “i liked this” or to identify basic emotions you had while reading and comment those “this made me happy” “this part made me sad” “i almost cried” “you made me laugh” Advanced: “Highlighted line” This line made me smile because it has to do with character development/it’s really romantic/it’s so unique/it’s moving. Sometimes I don’t highlight a line at all, I just talk about the stuff I’ve noticed were unique to the fic. “I love the way you did this particular thing with this character”.
This? This is an amazing post. This is the Captain Awkward of commenting posts—it addresses all your fears directly and gives you actionable scripts for each one.
I try to comment on every fic I read anymore, even if it’s just to say thanks for sharing. A little encouragement goes a long way!

My thoughts are that sirius and her and remus, when she wakes up fight, and when she wakes, shes sort of confused and is almost in pain because she niw has two lives in her head.
