Life: or what have I gotten myself into.

Hey old friends. It has been awhile. Hope you are all well.

I have started a band! No fooling this time. We went to a studio and everything. It was great fun. We released an EP and it is pay what you want.

Check it out that would rule:

More soon.

Look at your old pal Owen when he was young and toured in a band.

"...it is all the more tragic in that they were young..."

My thoughts always drift to the original when horror happens, especially in Texas.

Even though I posted this all over my other socials I feel I need to post it here too.

The most insane 80s music video I have ever seen. I felt like I was having a stroke while watching this. Also the insane amount of money that was spent on this music video of a cover of a Del Shannon song by a singing drummer is wild.

Enjoy.

This is fucking insane. The massive kit that he only uses about 20% of, the dinosaurs, the playful faux-narrative.

That’s me watching this.

My face finding this out

More fun facts:

This music video was filmed in 70mm and animated with stop motion animation at a cost of $1,000,000, making it the most expensive music video in history at the time.

Won at the New York and Cannes Film Festivals

Del Shannon’s last appearance.

In 1986 Cardenas held the world record for having the world's largest drumkit

Freakwater - Gravity

I wasn’t drinking to forget I was drinking to remember How I once might have looked In the eyes of a stranger When all hope should be gone Still the dream somehow linger Like the ghost of a snow storm In frostbitten fingers …

Merry Christmas. Here Are My Favorite Albums Of The Year.

Last year I listened to mostly electronic blip bloop atmospheric stuff and old favorites. This year I treally tried to listen to new stuff, but I was also filled with rage so lots of angry rock this year (sorry not sorry).

No order at all, in fact some stuff towards the bottom are my faves, but all this stuff got me through the year. Lots of local or little bands mixed in with heavy hitters. All just as valid.

Nov 11th 1990 maybe the scariest episode of TV aired. Can't believe this aired on ABC.
