I’m sorry, I made the mistake of using your language. Or maybe I have a misunderstanding about your original statement. I don’t think the debate is about whether or not a fetus is a human. It’s about whether or not it’s alive. When you said humanity I thought you meant its consciousness or soul. Yes a fetus is a human. The left argues that it is not alive, therefore it is not murder. The right argues the opposite. I don’t think there’s any serious debate about whether or not it’s human.

And yeah I think maybe I used the wrong term when I said human because people are really taking issue with that but the deal is it’s a person, human being, it’s alive, however you want to say it. Well the definition of life i use is just from the dictionary which states that it’s the condition that separates animals and plants from inorganic matter with the capacity for growth, reproduction, functional activity and continual change preceding death, all of these are things which the fetus meets. I mean at the very basic level it is a life and it is alive as it is constantly growing and changing while in the womb. And if it has a heartbeat, I would definitely say it’s alive.

But a heartbeat isn't you. You're in your brain. The dictionary definition is too broad. Humans are too complicated for such a simple one as that. A fetus before 25 weeks is just an amalgamation of organs. It's not truly alive yet. It needs a consciousness for that.
