Sly Cooper, the Man with the Iron Fists, and Rose Lalonde.

Hmm.

Spongebob(specifically with his powers from the yellow avenger), Kirby, and the protagonist from Heartgold but in a nuzlocke. I think I’ll be ok.

Funny show concept: A person who has been assigned by a god or the universe or whatever to grant wishes, but they are never told this. Every episode starts with some completely random person making a wish, and the universe just throws some problem the wish granters way, and it just so happens that the process of solving the problem always ends up granting the wish, regardless of if the protagonist actually accomplishes their goals or not.

Related ideas for the show:

1. The person chosen to have their wish granted is completely random. One episode it could be a kid whose family has never had more than $10 to their name, the next it could be the in universe equivalent of Jeff Bezos

2. The wishes don’t always align with the protagonists morals. For example, they could be very anti-murder, but one episode their actions accidentally lead to the death of a person who today’s wisher really wanted dead.

3. There has to be at least one episode with an incredibly simple wish that is granted in a really convoluted way. Example:

random wisher of the week: I wish I could see my sister smile again :(

The sister, like an hour later: Hey, did you hear that some random dude took out the organized crime syndicate that was threatening me was just taken down by some rando? How lucky is that :)

4. On the other hand, there has to be an incredibly complicated wish solved comically easy

Scientist: A METEOR IS HURDLING TOWARDS EARTH AND WE LOST THE REMOTE TO ACTIVATE THE DEFENSE SYSTEM! I DONT WANT TO DIE D:

Protagonist, like 10 minutes into the episode: Hey, who left a tv remote on the bus?

5. How the show would handle season finales or just generally “extra important episodes” would be one of their close friends or family make that episodes wish, which might significantly alter the protagonists life as well

6. An episode where a random side characters wish is to date the protagonist. At the end of the episode, it is revealed that this was not the wish that was granted that day, and they end up not together (at least not that episode)

I think one of the funniest parts of reflecting back on my past is that I keep coming to the realization that so many parts of who I am as a person were decided by one relatively small moment, which often aren’t obviously connected to anyone but me. The biggest example I can think of is that playing Killer sudoku led to me learning to love music a lot more and makes me much more willing to challenge myself than school ever did.

Honestly, the main reason both Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal have some of my favorite stories from any video game is because they have the setup for a really good story, but the protagonist (Doom Guy) just straight up does not care for it. ID made a story with themes of hubris, the dangers of advancement without proper thought, etc. and then made the protagonist completely uninterested in any of it. The alien robot acts more like a human than doom guy. And it works so well.

You know who else trapped a bunch of comedians in a room and they all tried to run their bit at everyone else at the same time?

no I do not muscle man lay it the fuck on me brother. Who else did this

I just realized most of the stuff I did for pkmn da are in answered asks so. Remember that post ab a washed up 20-something going on a journey to discover life with their pokemon who is sentient garbage? Yeah it’s becoming a Whole Thing with backstories and stuff

The shit happening in the Nier community right now is absolutely wild.

For those not in the know: someone (a person with rudimentary English skills) asked on the Reddit why his friend couldn’t find “the church.” People asked what they’re talking about. Person posts a cell phone picture of one of Nier Automata’s main characters standing in a room no one has ever seen. People don’t believe this but they ask them for a video. Next they post a phone video of their TV showing them entering a secret door in an area no one has ever found before, but cuts before it goes anywhere. People ask for better footage. Person posts a PS4 capture video of them running from the beginning of the area to the door and then down into an area no one’s ever seen, complete with moving geometry, but still cuts short before revealing where a corridor ends, allegedly because their “storage space was low.”

People are now losing their minds because what is being shown is currently impossible to duplicate with mods for the PC version, and as best as can be determined the version they’re playing is a PS4 unpatched 1.0 version.

The next video the person posts shows them entering a large church with pews and several visual references to the previous game in the series, Nier Replicant, which recently got a remake. There is an enemy in the room that triggers when a chest is opened, an enemy from that game that appears nowhere in Nier Automata mind you, as well as a set of birds that ask a riddle in Japanese that is lifted directly from Replicant, as well as much of the church itself, it turns out.

So either this is a modded doing some wild stuff that no one else has figured out yet and which would revolutionize the mod scene for likely two different games, or it’s a dev doing an ARG to drum up hype for something, perhaps the upcoming Switch port of Automata (my personal guess). Given the slow and deliberate nature of how things have been revealed and the downright silly nature of some of the person’s gameplay, I might even be convinced it’s game director Yoko Taro doing this whole bit himself.

God do I love this. Absolutely bugfuck. Can’t wait for more.

People discussing ‘unhinged’ fanfiction always seem to talk about dark!fic or explicit stuff, as opposed to the truly unhinged stuff like the fic author zapping all their favs from a story onto a set, assigning them roles, and forcing them to act out popular movies. Because, let me tell you, I read a fic like that with the original Yugioh cast acting out Disney’s Aladdin approximately fifteen years ago, and it is to this day one of the one of the most unhinged pieces of media I’ve ever consumed.

????????

Ya know, a little detail I always found weird about security breach was freddy’s reaction to the upgrades. I find it strange how he is apparently able to recognize chicas’ voice box without being told that it belongs to her, but doesn’t recognize roxy’s eyes or monty’s claws, even though you can’t see chicas voice box without her breaking, but he probably regularly sees the claws and eyes. I doubt there is any lore there, but I’m still curious why that is.
