Funny show concept: A person who has been assigned by a god or the universe or whatever to grant wishes, but they are never told this. Every episode starts with some completely random person making a wish, and the universe just throws some problem the wish granters way, and it just so happens that the process of solving the problem always ends up granting the wish, regardless of if the protagonist actually accomplishes their goals or not.
Related ideas for the show:
1. The person chosen to have their wish granted is completely random. One episode it could be a kid whose family has never had more than $10 to their name, the next it could be the in universe equivalent of Jeff Bezos
2. The wishes don’t always align with the protagonists morals. For example, they could be very anti-murder, but one episode their actions accidentally lead to the death of a person who today’s wisher really wanted dead.
3. There has to be at least one episode with an incredibly simple wish that is granted in a really convoluted way. Example:
random wisher of the week: I wish I could see my sister smile again :(
The sister, like an hour later: Hey, did you hear that some random dude took out the organized crime syndicate that was threatening me was just taken down by some rando? How lucky is that :)
4. On the other hand, there has to be an incredibly complicated wish solved comically easy
Scientist: A METEOR IS HURDLING TOWARDS EARTH AND WE LOST THE REMOTE TO ACTIVATE THE DEFENSE SYSTEM! I DONT WANT TO DIE D:
Protagonist, like 10 minutes into the episode: Hey, who left a tv remote on the bus?
5. How the show would handle season finales or just generally “extra important episodes” would be one of their close friends or family make that episodes wish, which might significantly alter the protagonists life as well
6. An episode where a random side characters wish is to date the protagonist. At the end of the episode, it is revealed that this was not the wish that was granted that day, and they end up not together (at least not that episode)
