Earlier today i was just thinking about how much following you has helped me embrace being bi, and how i hoped you were ok depsite your inactivity on here. Stay wonderful friend!!!!

Thanks friend... I’ll be honest, one of the reasons I have not been on is because tumblr was just another addition to my anxiety (I’m not going to go into it, let’s just say my homelife has not been the best and I returned to an inbox full of just as much hatemail as there are nice messages in there).

But I do appreciate that it helps a lot of people accept their bisexuality and just get through the day, and that never stops being important to me.

So to all the people who have messaged me with kind words and find comfort in my blog, I’m okay and I think you all are wonderful too.

just wanted to say, from a fellow bi, that this blog is 100% awesome and i only just followed. i also appreciate that you appreciate owls. stay rad 😎✌️

Aw thanks, sorry I didn’t answer sooner, sadly you’ve caught me at a time when I’ve been mostly inactive. It’ll pretty much stay that way unfortunately but I will still stay rad outside of tumblr if that’s any consolation.

I also appreciate you appreciating me appreciating owls :)

is your url a reference to scott pilgrim vs the world? just curious

Yes it is! Particularly Roxie who is the best character in both the comics and movie in my opinion.

I saw your tumblr comments on the book Bisexual Vegetarian Zombies. Perhaps I could send you a copy of the book to read so you can determine yourself if the book is funny/quirky or ruined by our patriarchal rape society.

I don’t know how long ago this was sent but I suggest sending a free copy over to somewhere like bisexualbooks.com as I am mostly inactive, if you want a full review.

I wouldn’t mind reading it out of curiosity however.

HI! How are you going? I don't know if you remember, but a couple of months ago you helped single boost the survey for my thesis (thank you so much for you help!!), well I have finally been able to get the summary of my research online. The link in is in the sidebar of my blog, and if you find the results interesting I would be grateful if you could share it with your followers, so that those who did participate could see where their contribution ended up. Thanks!

Kinda, I really have not been on tumblr for a while and had a lot of stuff going on with my life, I’m sorry for worrying everyone.

@copperbadge, I feel like there’s a story about Steve promoting safe sex in this…

Oh but see now I’m picturing a whole series of cheesy Avengers safe sex PSAs.

Tony: I may be a playboy, but I know when to wear armor.

Natasha: There’s a time and place for stealth. The bedroom isn’t it. (Alternately: “Safety is easy. If he won’t wear a condom, kill him.”)

Clint: Protection is important, on and off the range.

Thor: It’s what a god would do.

Bruce: Do it for science. Wear it for safety.

Sam: Your best wingman is the one in your pocket.

One of the things that I see monosexist lg people (yes lg people specifically) do that I hate the most is praising bi people who don’t believe in monosexism as being a “good bi”

I’ve literally seen people use the phrase “good bi” (and not as a pun by bi people). Like we’re not fucking dogs don’t fucking praise bi people as if they were dogs, especially not over intra-community discussions you have no place in in the first place.

The story of the HIV denialist movement demonstrates that scientific agreement is not necessarily enough. Thousands of people died because the conspiracy theory was able to outrun the facts, thriving in the climate of fear and suspicion around a grisly disease that had struck a vulnerable population. To some groups who’d been fighting on behalf of AIDS patients, it was too tidy to see a multimillion-dollar drug market emerge, to treat the same people who’d already been stigmatized and marginalized.

SOOOOOOOOOOOO Y’ALL SHOULD USE HABITRPG

as someone who struggles with anxiety and depression (and as someone who nonetheless still struggles with motivation problems regardless of whether my depression is there or not), this game is kiiiiiiiiiiiiind of amazing

i’ve inputted loads of things into the game, from brushing my teeth at night to breaking my habit of #skin picking, to trying to draw something everyday to practicing flute, to making phone calls or remembering to do other Scary Adulthood Tasks

i’ve been better at getting myself up and washed and dressed (as opposed to moping around in no bra and pajamas). i’ve accomplished SEVERAL things that i’ve been putting off for M O N T H S. i think i might be up for finally attempting to get back at flute soon. which is a really huge deal because flute is a big thing my depression robbed from me.

you put in things you need/want to get done (Habits, Dailies, and To-Do list). when you do a thing, you check off the thing, and you get XP and gold (which you can use to buy rewards you input yourself or upgrades for your character)! example, just yesterday, i noticed that i was REALLY thirsty and realized that i constantly and regularly don’t drink enough water. so what did i do?

i gave myself some motivation! it can be great motivation for all sorts of things! if you want to finish a project of some kind, you can break it down into parts and every time you finish a part you can check it off. this would be FANTASTIC for school!

if you’re anxious, like me, it can really help. example: i have terrible phone anxiety. i had to call student loans. i had actually been putting it off for months. but a few days after i started playing this, i actually felt brave enough and motivated, and i finally did it!! it felt really good to check that off my To-Do list column, and i got some gold and XP out of it!

if you’re depressed, like me, having a concrete example of things you’ve accomplished everyday can make a HUGE difference. example: say you were having a bad depression day, and you’ve barely done anything and you’re feeling awful about that. BUT maybe the fact that you showered gave you enough XP to level up. maybe you actually DID have two checkmarks on things today! it’s concrete evidence you can hold onto, and it can motivate you to keep going. i also put in things like meditation and other forms of self care.

i’ve just reached level 4 (how fucking cool is that?? i’m leveling up in LIFE). more options and Really Cool Things become available as you level up (like buying items that affect your XP and HP). i just recently discovered you can create parties with friends (you can help keep each other accountable!), you can join guilds (I’ve joined a guild of musicians, as well as a couple of others!), and you can make and take part in challenges that give you rewards! (for example, in the musicians’ guild, they have challenges for practicing everyday, for listening to a new piece everyday for a month, etc.)

(it’s also open source, so loads of people are creating apps for it, among other things!)

long story short, it’s super great for self care, motivation and keeping yourself organized. 10/10 do recommend!!!

ok now everyone like and reblog this post and give me loads of notes so i can win a challenge so more people learn about it!
