Item: Skirt Wind Aid (Weighted)

I'm glad someone out there understands fashion.

Ok but for real- if yo have this problem get the stainless steel ball chain from Home Depot or something (this stuff)

And sew it into the hem of your skirts. It’s a haute couture sewing trick to keep jackets and skirts hanging right and looking crisp, Coco Chanel’s high end stuff all has it in there. It’s also a very easy aftermarket hack and since it’s stainless steel it’s machine washable.

I live near Chicago and the Windy City thing is no joke. A little bit of chain hidden in the hem and no one gets to know for sure what color my underwear is that day.

An Early Start - Danny Phantom

Description: The accident that turns Danny half-ghost happens when he is four years old and leaves him trapped in the Ghost Zone. Clockwork finds him and takes him in to raise. But what happens when Clockwork sends Danny back to the human-world ten years later when a permanent portal appears?

Notes: Good news y'all! This story is COMPLETELY finished! The only thing I need to do is edit each chapter so that is what you will be waiting for! But I promise it will stick through to the end. Have a lovely day or night and thank you so much for reading!

Ao3: Here | Chapter 1

Part 1: Strings of Fate

Clockwork can see timelines. He can see the possible futures and the past which led to those points. He can see each decision and the webs they weave. Each crack, crease, and string. He knew all of it.

Clockwork can see Danny Fenton. He can see the lives the boy leads. Each choice splitting into timelines both similar or so different. He can see a world in which he is feared, revered, or never existed at all. Danny has always been an enigma in Clockwork’s eye since the moment the ancient ghost formed. Yes, Clockwork knew Danny Fenton. The boy who would save the world or destroy it. The boy that does so in some worlds and doesn’t in others. But, in this world, he gets an earlier start than most.

-

Young Danny is four years old and he is hungry. His big sister fed him breakfast this morning while she got ready for school. But, it’s lunchtime now, and Jazzy is not here. Danny wishes she was but she told him she has to go learn. She told him he would start learning too, next year. But right now is not next year and right now she is not home. So, Danny opens the fridge to find the lunch she made him. Jazzy knows Mommy and Daddy forget about him sometimes, so she takes good care of him for them.

You changed your icon!!! It looks really nice :))

This was so much fun to do!! I had never written a fanfic with other authors before, and just having this opportunity to build a story, go back and forth with ideas, and even jokes with brilliant, talented, and wonderful friends like @akela-nakamura and @tourettesdog was an absolute delight!

Hope you enjoy everyone's stories!! Thanks for hosting this event 💚

AHHHHH SAME THOUGH!! This was my first time writing together, and I love my team. I’m excited to get to work more on our story more <3

Danny: oh my beloved starshine! My lovely daughter!

This is why I like the Danny Phantom and Young Justice crossovers because of the wonderful parallels between Danny and Clark when it comes to their clones. I know we didn't get that much character growth when it comes to these two just time skips that showed a relationship improvement. But you can't tell me that when Danny found out Clark was ignoring Conner he didn't go and beat Superman's ass? Like the man who accepted his clone with no problem and treated her as if she were her own person even though she was made to be his replacement wouldn't tell the Superman actual facts.

To put this into a perspective I can see like Danny and Dani being introduced to the team and when asking about their backstories the two are just like "oh yeah she's my clone!" "I'm his clone!" all happy dorky like and Conner is suddenly uncomfortable with the energy that was created in the studio today but someone opens their big out and they find out that Conner is a clone who Clark nor Lex named. He got his name from his friends. Danny would just see red and ask where Superman is then and there. He would go with Bruce to that cafe and make him understand what Clark needs to do!

A maybe plot twist is that Clark still refuses to talk to Conner so Danny just walks up to the clone of Superman and just looks at him before grabbing him by the sleeve and just going "You're mine now. I'm adopting you."

Superman and Lex are having a very public fight, and Conner, who has been trained in Chaos Gremlin by the Phantoms, yells out : "Ugh! You're the worst dads ever! You're always fighting! I wish Phantom was my REAL dad!"

The media have a field day.

YES HE DOES

Beep boop! I look for accidental haiku posts. Sometimes I mess up.

wish i had a bit going where whenever i said "the prophecy" like three of my friends would repeat "the prophecy" in different tones while squinting into the distance and rubbing their chins like sages deep in thought. i would also do this for them, im a team player

The trope where a character overhears something out of context and assumes the worst is usually annoying and bad but I really think it works well in Shrek

We, the audience, know that Fiona is talking about herself but, regardless, she’s calling herself these terrible things because she is an ogre. If Fiona is these things because she is is an ogre what does that make Shrek?

If Fiona says no one could love her because she is an ogre, she is saying that Shrek is also unloveable whether she wants to or not.

Imo the scene is a really good portrayal of how when you talk poorly of yourself or others for having a trait, you’re also talking about every other person who shares that trait; even if you love them or think what you’re saying doesn’t apply to them.

Not going to lie, I saw the word “Shrek” and never expected this to be a deep post.

On the being deep about Shrek website?

here's your fucking feedback @staff

list of problems the removal of icons causes:

  • i cant see my friends
  • ruins the sense of community
  • can't tell at a glance who's online right now and what they're interested in
  • literally cannot tell without scrolling back up who put a post on my dash if it has a single addition attached to it. or like. 2 paragraphs in the op.
  • i cant click my own icon at the top of the dash to quickly view my own blog
  • can't tell who someone used to be if they change their username
  • squashes the margins between the menu and posts, making the whole dash feel more cramped
  • ruins the quick visual cue of how long each post is and where it ends when you're trying to scroll past ones youve seen before
  • people put a lot of creativity and individuality into icons, and now i never see them
  • makes people who primarily reblog instead of make their own posts all but completely disappear

list of problems solved by removing icons:

  • ?????
  • who the fuck was asking for this
  • ive never in my life seen a website or app that has profile pics forcibly HIDE them, so i guess you did it you made the dash unique again in the worst way

here's some more feedback: maybe when you run an a/b test you should, idk, actually have a feedback form people can fill out about it somewhere

I’d follow after this person taking everything, so then they’d be looking for a burglar with different handwriting than me and then I’d know that the house is relatively safe to enter cause they went through it first

You know, when I see fictional characters who repress all their emotions, they're usually aloof and very blunt about keeping people at a distance, sometimes to an edgy degree—but what I don't see nearly enough are the emotionally repressed characters who are just…mellow.

Think about it. In real life, the person that's bottling up all their emotions is not the one that's brooding in the corner and snaps at you for trying to befriend them. More often than not, it's that friendly person in your circle who makes easy conversation with you, laughs with you, and listens and gives advice whenever you're upset. But you never see them upset, in fact they seem to have endless patience for you and everything around them—and so you call them their friend, you trust them. And only after months of telling them all your secrets do you realize…

…they've never actually told you anything about themselves.

Adding onto this: characters who are so deeply repressed that they don't even realize they're not fine, or at the very least not supposed to be fine. Characters who do tell you about a situation they're in that should be bad, but instantly laugh it off saying they can handle it (spoiler: they can, in fact, not handle it). Characters who laugh with you and listen to all your woes and much later you learn that they were actually going through something at least equally bad at the time, but they wave it off and don't want to speak of it. Characters whose main coping mechanism seems to be "don't think about it" on endless loop.

Basically, the fictional embodiment of the "this is fine" dog.

"characters" who do this.
