If I could write a letter to myself for all the times I’ve self judged and blamed, what would I say?

How can I cope with my sadness in a healthier way?

What are some bad habits and behaviour I should change?

How long do I think about failures? Do I have issues in coming to terms with certain problems, and how can I change these habits?

Do I find it hard to forgive?

Am I honest with myself, and others about my feelings?

What are my triggers? How can I cope with them?

Do I completely accept, and love myself the way I am? If not, how can I teach myself? 

What makes me feel happiest?

What makes me feel angry, or sad?

Have I forgiven anyone who’s hurt me? If not, am I ready to? How can I?

How worthy do I believe I am?

Reflecting on my past, such as my childhood, what makes me extremely sad to this day? How can I help myself heal?

This is why the brushing aside of colonization because “well that was my ancestors not me” doesn’t work. You still benefit from it. You still perpetuate the effects of it. If white people weren’t like their ancestors? They would give these people their land back and let them decide how to move forward. 

Denying them housing on their own land? Being in a position to do that? Is certainly as colonizer as it gets. You are living your ancestors dreams.
