It would make sense, since of course leafpool couldn’t have kits of her own, so her nephews and niece would fit perfectly into that role for her.

And like- squirrelflight obviously didn’t care in the slightest because of the love she had for her sister. Plus it gave her the chance to stretch her legs whenever the other queens were busy.

He's a pretty typical Turtle. Though i did struggle a lot with him. All I knew is that I wanted to make him fat, anxious, and resemble my Tsunami design but i couldnt make it work for the longest time. I really struggled making him noticeable fat and posing him, but after doing some figure drawing with fat models I got to a point where I could transfer that knowledge to a non-human figure and VIOLA! Fat turtle!

His eyes are yellow because I didn't want his bracelet to be the only thing yellow on him and mess with his color balance.

warrior cats is so fucking funny because on the surface you're like "alright. YA book about talking cats. that seems normal" but it is in fact not even a little bit normal

ive always thought that an interesting alternative to firestars original story where he becomes thunderclans leader, are aus where he becomes thunderclans medicine cat instead....ive seen a few of them over the years and i rly do feel like they offer just as much - if not more - sorta....UMPH to his canon arc

+ the more i think about it, the more i genuinely adore it because i truly feel like it can explain soooo much and basically give fireheart the exact same feel he has in canon - it doesn't drastically change his core character, but just adds to it.

imagine him being spottedleafs apprentice while dealing with thunderclans initial judgement of him - all eyes are on him because they can barely fathom a housecat learning to be their healer, but spottedleaf absolutely believes in him without a shadow of a doubt. and after she dies, it makes more sense for her to constantly visit him - he's her former apprentice, and shes terrified for his and thunderclan's future.

he's close w bluestar because he can see how many lives she truly has left and he's tasked with making sure she doesnt lose her final one - all while learning from yellowfang now, who is a much different medicine cat than spottedleaf was. yellowfang has her share of secrets - and although she tries to warn him about the dangers she went through, he and sandstorm have been getting along so much better and he wonders......

he gets vague prophecies from starclan about tigerclaw's betrayal and he has to navigate knowing what ravenpaw told him, what starclan is hinting at, and trying to convey this to bluestar, who doesn't want to hear it.

and LASTLY for this reblog, silverstreams death would be so huge for him since it'll be the first time he loses a patient since he became a medicine cat, and having to deal with graystripe not only being in riverclan, but fireheart blaming himself for her loss....i rly could go on and on. i rly love this au so much

1 cup Washing Soda (not Baking Soda. Different things.)

1 cup Borax (not Boric Acid. Also a different thing.)

½ cup - 1 cup grated bar soap (you can use literally anything. I often use Ivory because it’s easy to get and I find it works well, a lot of people like Fels-Naptha, which is an actual laundry bar. Some people use Dr. Bronner’s. Really does not fucking matter.) After grating your soap, combine all ingredients. That’s it. That’s the whole thing. Use maybe a ¼ cup per load.

Also you can MAKE your own washing soda very VERY cheaply.

Step one: acquire $5 bag of baking soda from Costco.

Step two: lay that motherfucking baking soda out on a baking tray.

Step three: bake the baking soda on a tray in an oven at 400° for 1 hour (to make the moisture evaporate, leaving washing soda)

Step four: revel in how easy and cheap it is to make your own washing soda, and maybe take a moment to be angry that the industry upcharges the fuck out of something that is so easy to make.

I see some of y'all complaining about static and/or wanting nice smelling laundry. Go to a craft store, find 100% wool yarn balls. If it doesn’t come in a ball, ask an employee to make it into a tight ball for you. Wash in the washing machine to make it felted. Remove from washer, add a few drops of essential oil to the ball, allow to seep in. Dry with clothing. Doesn’t need to be rewashed ever, and if it stops smelling, add few more drops of essential oil. Bam, reusable dryer sheets.

Also, there are very few general stain removers as good as using a little bit of dishwashing soap. It has to be a _soap_, though, like blue Dawn or Joy.

A good, cheap trick I know of for getting oil stains out is to rub them with chalk (yeah, plain white chalk) and let it sit – you will see the chalk soak up the oil if you check like a day later. Sometimes you have to repeat the treatment after you wash the chalk out, but it’s better than having to replace the clothing.

(Carbona brand specialty stain removers are very good for their specialties, fwiw, but for like 90% of stains a bottle of blue Dawn and a piece of chalk will do everything you need. Carbona has specialized ones for particular very difficult stains including wine, ink, and oil – the oil one is helpful when the chalk can’t work far enough into the weave of the fabric.)

Also! One cup of vinegar dumped right into the washing machine on top of your clothes helps them get cleaner, no matter what other products you’re using!

Do not use vinegar if you’re also using bleach though. You could create chlorine gas which is very dangerous if you breathe it.
